- Andi| 6 repliesThis guy keeps calling for my husband. He says in the message that he is "an officer" from BCI Bureau of Crime Identification. Says that it is extremely time sensitive that he hears from him. Also says that if my husband does not call back "all he can say is good luck and God Bless You in this situation. This number is unpublished and goes to a Seattle Washington phone. When called, we get a recording for some other company!! CRAZY!
- Caller: BCI
- mika replies to Andi| 5 repliesI keep getting repetitive calls from this same number, sometimes different number but always the same area code. I call the number back and it's some telemarketing place...telling me to press 1 if I want to be taken off of their list. A man with an Indian accent left me a voicemail that I could barely understand...saying I need to call him back, it's time sensitive, and if I don't he wishes me luck. Mind you, the number he left was totally different...some Sunnyvale CA number. He says his name is Officer Douglas Black and he works for the Sunnyvale Courthouse. There's a legal case against me and he has an affidavit. He said I got a payday loan from Cash Advance...not true. He knows my social, my husband's name, son's name, personal info. I filled out information online to get a cash advance but never received the money...so this is how they know all of my info. I'm going to report them to as many people as I can.
- Rachel Smith| 4 repliesThis number keeps calling me and telling me he's an officer, I'm being sued, all this crap. It's a scam so just tell them to shove it!
- shawnee replies to mikaThey kept calling me at work, I was really scared and they said I was going to go to jail, my employer looked into it and found that it is a scam to get people to send them money. Now they are calling here for my boyfriend, said it is related to a Cash Advance, I don't have a checking account!
- kp replies to mika| 1 replyI called Sunnyvale police and am waiting on a call back. I also filled out an application but never completed a payday loan and these folks have my info also. Officer Douglas Black does not work at Sunnyvale PD. What moron would try to commit ID theft on folks that applied for payday loans. They can only help my credit...
Other numbers they are calling from include 2093819999, and they gave me 4087307100 to call them back - kp replies to kpSunnyvale police says there's nothing any law enforcement can do unless I actually lose money. These guys are all over Google, up to this same no good, with several Magic Jack numbers associated with the San Francisco bay area. I have plenty of collection calls that are also on these whocallsme.com lists, and they can be seen as clearly collections. But not this scam. Hubby wants me to press impersonating a police officer charges, but what jurisdiction? What can anyone do about dudes in India anyway?
- ColoradoGirlThis number is also associated with calls you may get from 646-918-8890, do a google search on that number and you will find tons of links regarding scam issues. There is a person I work with, who has been getting calls from this number but, starting yesterday, I myself began getting calls from the 646 #, harassing calls, vulgar, cursing, my manager answered the phone as they called like 8 times in a row after being hung up on by me and they did the same thing to my manager, threatened his family, cursed. Ridiculous. I am wondering what was the name of the website others went to when they applied for a payday loan? I did, regrettably, months ago but, after doing it, got a ton of emails, phone calls all within minutes of submitting my info asking me to call to apply for a loan, still get emails daily from different payday loan places, because of this I closed out my bank account months ago, glad I did. I put a alert on my credit through the credit bureaus and filed a complaint with the social security administration, I would encourage others to do the same, if you haven't already.

- Christine replies to mika| 1 replyI am replying to this post and my reply is going to be long because I want everyone to know what happened to me just this evening around 7PM... I received a voice mail message from phone number (209) 381-9999 tonight. I had to play the message back several times to understand the very poor english.(I saved this voicemail and never deleted it) the message, from what I could understand, was from "Officer" Harry Ford, instructing me or my attorney to call back "NOW" regarding a time sensitive message and if we failed to do so the situation will unfold onto myself, wished me luck and managed to say god bless..I called him right back demanding to know what this urgent matter was about, I could not understand the officer AT ALL because his english was so bad, that I was actually placed on hold while he found another officer. I was then connected with another officer, Officer Douglas Black. Officer Black informed me that a case was being filed against me stemming from a payday advance loan that was directly deposited into my checking account 6 weeks ago(which he then read me my routing number followed by my checking account number) with a bi-weekly service fee renewal that is automatically taken right from this same checking account. He states the company filed suit against me for failing to make payment on the "outstanding" loan account. He said in order to avoid charges of fraud that I would need to fax him a hand-written paper stating my name, social security number, my credit card number along with the 3 digit pin on the back of the card, a copy of my drivers license and my authorization to deduct the amount of the loan from the credit card and to also put todays date on this paper with these words and I quote, "I have not done this intentionally and I want to settle this outside of the courthouse" with my signiture. Once I send this fax to Officer Black I am instructed to call the phone number to let him know the paper was faxed so this file can be taken care of...The only fraud I see that needs taken care of are these so called "officers". ...Did the "officers" honestly think I would just fax them this info giving authorization for payment for the very same company that has always been automatically deducting them....
- JJBristol replies to ChristineI've had calls like this in the UK, usual scam artists trying to scare you into handing over bank details so you can pay off an outstanding ticket or some other such crap. By giving out your bank details you leave yourself wide open to identity theft and getting your bank account wiped out! If someone calls you claiming to be from a financial organisation like payday advance, tell them you'll find your details and contact the office directly, this "time sensitive" nonsense is just to bully you into handing over your numbers there and then. As for impersonating Police Officers, Interpol has a Financial Fraud department, might be worth passing on the details to them!
- DeborahThis guy keeps call and asking to talk to my manager
- Caller: BCI
- Call type: Debt collector
- DTThis guy kept calling and demanding to speack to my manager and he is a officer from BCI I put him on hold and told him I was going to call the police and then left him there and when I got back he was gone and then I called the same # back and it went busy.
Can't the FBI do something or the police???- Caller: BCI
- WintersnapThey called me today trying to say I owe to Cas Advanced and I need to listen to them. Thy were from the BCI and had a suit filed against me! I do not owe anyone anything! They said they were going to come up to were I work and have an officer come and get me????

- abWe have been receiving very same threats from BCI a David Coleman from the law offices of Steven Booth. Anyways, they even called my husbands work, which was savvy enough to not give out any information. We have never confirmed his SS# or address or anything. We did call the Sheriff's Office and an officer came out to give us a Case # and we are calling the FTC as well as the SS office to let them know that someone else has my husbands SS#. The Sheriffs office was going to follow thru with this because the BCI claims to be the Bureau of Crime Identification from the City of Seattle in Washington. They are not a Federal Bureau of any kind and it is against the law to pose at one. The numbers identified with these threats are 206-424-8457,646-580-2268 and 631-772-9615. Do not confirm any of personal information to these people. Just FYI.
- JogeHe called me yesterday, said I owed $642, and had to pay it by the end of the day or else I'd have to go to court. I asked for his name and information, made him spell everything out in order for me to understand everything about this "case" against me. Claims his name is Bill Hamsted, legal officer. I talked to him for 40 minutes, and since I still had not understood what was going on, that I would have to have the documents in writing. Claimed that EZ CASH on the internet gave me a loan, and I violated 5 counts of something. Was never fully made clearly.. He said to fax a letter to him and make sure to include the signature by this morning with info from a pre-paid WalMart card or Visa card. Fax #2066-888-4331. At the end of the call, I asked what his actual job title was, he said Attorney.
- Kent L. Booher, Attorney at Law replies to Rachel Smith| 3 repliesI am working to track these folks down and to shut them down. I have a client in Tennessee who is receiving these same types of harassing telephone calls. The last call was from "officer Mark Anderson" of BCI (allegedly stands for Bureau of Criminal Identification). When I called, I was told it was a law firm and that they were located in Seattle, WA. When I asked to speak to the attorney, I was told her name was "Rachel Smith" and that she was unavailable.
The Washington State Bar confirms no attorney named Rachel Smith is licensed in Washington. I have placed a call to the Washington State Attorney General's office, but am still waiting for a call back.
Anyone on this site can send me information about the calls you are receiving. I will use the information to work on shutting this place down. - terrie replies to Kent L. Booher, Attorney at LawReceived a call today from the number 410-775-6073 and he said ext. 799. He called me from work and called at home threatening legal problems. He stated his name from what I could make out to be Lt. Micheal Black. Then transferred me to someone he called the captain of BCI. He went through his spill and I tried to listen, but could not understand much. I asked to speak to someone that spoke English, he transferred me back to I think the same person I was talking to. Then he put me on hold, due to he said the Attorney Generals office was on the other phone. I was on hold forever and then hung up.
