This number and other combination of the last 4 digits keeps calling my home and cell phone saying they are the IRS and I have defrauded the government.  All the information I have read on the internet say the the IRS will only contact you by mail AND they have toll free phone numbers to call back.  Has anyone else gotten these types of phone calls?

just got a call on my cell.  thick accent.  when I said what location are u calling from they hung up

Just got off the phone with them , i guess i pissed the foreign sob off he hung up on me.

I got call from someone with a heavy accent, bad connection telling me that the IRS was getting ready to sue me. I called back, informed them that if the IRS was suing me I would receive notification by mail and that their call was an insult to my intelligence.

Just got a call from them as well stating they were the irs and that I was being sued by them. Um. Irs doesn't call. They send letters and YOU have to call them

I got the call too (yesterday in a message).  Recording said I was being sued by the IRS and to call this number.  That is why I googled the number before I called.  It seemed suspicious, and I too have heard that the IRS will only contact you by mail.  Plus, I've never heard the word "sued" by the IRS.  They always use the word "audit".

I also received a call from this number on my answering machine in an automated woman's voice claiming to be IRS, stating they are "suing". I won't be calling them back.

They just called and left a message.  My son heard it and called me. He was rattled.   It was a computer recording from the IRS and they left this number.  I figured is was a scam because I know the IRS doesn't just call you.

Just got a call from this number. Left a message saying IRS is starting a lawsuit against me & call back immediately. I didn't bother calling back. Its a phishing scam trying to get SS#s & other Identity information.

An Indian-sounding man called stating that he was with the IRS and that I was being sued. He advised that it was my final notice. He knew my address. He asked where I banked. I refused to say. He threatened to take money out of my bank account (I reminded him he'd just stated he didn't even know where I banked)...he was very aggressive, he mentioned things like that I was going to jail - he even said he may "cancel" my social security number!

Got a call from this number today, was recording, said IRS was filing lawsuit against me.  Just can't be.  Visited IRS site and think this is a scam.  Am currently on hold with IRS to report this.

They called me multiple times. Stating they are from IRS about a law suit. Number is from Washington. They have called 4 times. They hung up when they gave me the wrong address.

Just got a message about  being sued by the IRS,  When I called back a man with an accent informed me he was from the fraud department of the IRS and that I was being sued.  I asked several questions and he became annoyed and hung up, and when I called back I received a recording stating the number was no longer valid.

I have been getting calls from this number, all hours of the day.  They finally left a message about a case of some sort, which prompted me to check this number out.  I have now blocked them from my phone...  Thank you!

Just got the same thing I called the Indian guy and argued with him for a good 10 minutes and he said he would call our local police station

I keep getting calls from this number saying I am being sued by the IRS. I know this is a fraud but it is a recording so there is no way to tell them to quit calling. 206-445-0873 is the number…really getting tired of it

I came to my parents house and listened to this voicemail on their answering machine. Thank God I intercepted the message because who knows if my parents would have actually called these a***oles back and given them any information. Thanks for all the comments. It helped me confirm my suspicions.
