called several times on the home phone yesterday and left only one message - not really a message.  you could hear a woman with an accent talking in the background but could not make out the conversation.

This lady with an accent keeps calling me, claiming to be from from American Funding Association.  They claim that I have requested information for free grants.  Usually the phone number coming in is only 9 digits, now it's coming up as 2064456108.

I have told this lady numerous times that I don't remember making a request for information on grants, "I am not longer interested, please take me off your phone list."  She continues to call me at least once a day.  And to top it all of she is extremely rude.

Somebody help!  Who is this!!!  And how do I get them to stop?!?

i got a call from this number yesterday early in the morning and another washington area code number called me a few minutes after. then a illinois number called me and it was a lady with an accent speaking very fast claiming she was with american funding. now I'm waiting on financial aid from another company so i thought it would have been the woman who has been calling me. I've been getting fraud numbers calling me saying i won a gift card for being a certain brand credit card and they needed my card information to verify who i was. the conversation was taking for ever and he was speaking so fast i couldn't really understand him. the whole thing just felt like something not right so i hanged up the phone told the bank to cancel my card and i called his number back serval times and the call would ring about 3 times and hang up. another fraud called me the next day selling me magazines and asked me for my card information again. so i hanged up called them back, but there line goes to like a machine were it says press 1 for this and 2 for that or wait and one of our representatives will be right with you. i wait like 20 seconds after the machine and the phone hanged up. so win that lady called from the illinois number i hanged up and few minutes later i call back and it also went to a machine, but i didn't listen to it all the way. so she called back later in the day and  i gave her a chance. just like all the other ones she knew where i live my cell number all that. so i was waiting for to ask about my card information and she did. she was like ok great! i just need your card information. i told her I'm not giving her my card information over the phone I've been waiting for you to ask that question. you the expiration date,the security code, and the number on the card and she paused and she was like i understand that and hit me with no you don't have to worry about that this phone call is being recorded. i told her yeah i heard that before and don't call me back any more. and guess what she called from another number a fresno area code later that day and from another fresno area code but a different number. i answered to see if it was her all she did was say my name and recognize her voice and that accent and hanged up the phone. any ways people with my experience with numbers who call me more then once and don't leave a voice message its  a scam! call them back at that number and see if they answer. if the phone call ends short then its a scam. if the phone call leads to a message but ends right after with no chance of you leaving a message its a scam! i called the lady back at the Illinois number and she answered! i wanted to see if the call would end short or have a phony machine talking for them. also these frauds can call you with a local area code to make it seem like you may now that number. sorry about the long report i just thought this could help out some people out there if they get a call that there not sure of.

here are a list of numbers to look out for ill start with the numbers that american funding lady has been calling from by the way she hasn't called back at all today ill put the AF for "American Funding"

well i guess these are the only numbers I've found on phone. just be on the look out about these numbers!

AJ and Nell above did a great inquiry that will give me advance info on these annoying phone calls that circumvent the Fed's "No call" law that actually has "No Teeth" to back up their talk.....I just created a new contact listing their numbers with a "No ring" option and label the callers as TRASH 1 until all the numbers are used up then I start a TRASH 2, and TRASH 3....

TY FOR THE NUMBERS , I ALSO GET THEM CALLS, I SAVE ALL THE NUMBERS SO I CAN COMPARE THEM TO OTHER PEOPLES!! WE GOT 13 CALLS IN 3 DAYS WISH THERE WAS SOMETHING THAT CAN BE DONE, BUT NOT SEEING THAT TO HAPPEN , THESE BUTT HEADS CHANGE THERE NUMBERS ALL THE TIME!! HAVE A GOOD DAY

Kept saying they are taking a survery for XL Laboratories. When I asked who XL Lab is, they said I have to listen to whole call. Asked them not to call back and hung up.

I received two calls also from the numbers listed back to back.   If you don't answer they don't leave a message.

This person or persons has could me twice a day for the last 2 days and won't say anything. When I repeatedly say hello all I get is an automated voice saying goodbye.

Received the same calls. I am just making it fun now. The last call was some heavy accented woman so I started breathing real hard and asked her what she was wearing. Then I proceeded to tell her I was touching myself. She hung up... Damn! Ha Ha Ha! Let's see if she calls back. Can't wait.

I've received almost 20 calls today from (803)746-7918 & (206)445-6108. I finally answered maybe the 15th call, someone who sounded like a tranny w/a fake Asian accent asked for me by my name (Which is odd because the phone is under my boyfriends name). When I asked them who they were & why they have they called so many times, the person started to taunt me! I said I knew they were a telemarketer & they asked me if I was one, then they asked if I worked there. I then said I was going to report them & they said several times "go head". I finally lost it & started yelling for them to stop calling my phone & the whole time they continued to repeat random things I said. I finally hung up & called the number back & was connected to the same person. We went at it again, they continued to repeat what I said almost in a childlike manner. I hung up, & immediately received 1 phone call after another from both numbers & every time it was the same person. This is going a little beyond telemarketing &  is really pissing me off.

I keep gettin calls from 206456108 all times of day and night. Lady with accent I do not want to talk to her. How do I get her off the list
