We are on the DO NOT CALL LIST and these people call several times a day, my mother has stage 4 cancer and they are bothering her every time they call

Pls do not call me any more. I recieved the call several times a day. I already told clearview company that delete my # but they still call.

This is an energy broker (who won't identify themselves) who is trying to get you to switch gas & electric providers.  I receive 7-10 calls per day from this and other numbers, and I, too, am on the Do Not Call Registry.  Sometimes they call me about my "current bill with PSEG".  Sometimes they call me about my "current bill with JCPL".  That should tell you something.

When you try to talk to a rep to get your number removed, they will ask for your account number.

NEVER GIVE ANY ACCOUNT NUMBER OR EVEN YOUR NAME TO ANYONE COLD CALLING YOU.  ANY LEGITIMATE COMPANY THAT YOU ALREADY DO BUSINESS WITH ALREADY HAS YOUR NAME AND ACCOUNT NUMBERS, AND WILL NEVER ASK YOU TO PROVIDE THESE THINGS.  IF SOMEONE ASKS YOU FOR THIS TYPE OF INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE, IT IS A SCAM.

Furthermore, whoever these people are, they at times try to misrepresent themselves as PSEG or JCPL to gain your trust (they are NOT PSEG or JCPL; again, they refuse to identify who they are).

This is a shady scam.  As of last week (week ending August 18, 2012), they were robo dialing people using 973-1XX-XXXX and 732-1XX-XXXX phone numbers.  Phone numbers where the prefix starts with a 1 (example 973-158-9945) are not legitimate phone numbers).  After I posted this complaint on all of the prefix-1 phone numbers listed below, they started robo dialing people using other phone numbers such as this 425-320-5045 phone number.  When you try to call this number yourself, all you get is a busy signal.

Obviously, this is not a legitimate company if they are using deceitful practices to get around the Do Not Call Registry, misrepresenting themselves as PSEG or JCPL, and don't even have legitimate phone numbers.

Supposedly, this company "Discount Center" and all their phone numbers are with a phone carrier/telecom provider called Level 3 Communications.  Again, see info in the link above.

These people called me THREE times today.  I will no longer pick up the phone if I do not recognize the telephone number.

Calls three or four times a day. They never leave a message. When I called the number back, the auto voice told me I could "opt out," but there is no way I'm going to leave them any information on an automated system.  It's ridiculous.

they called me 3 times yesterday morning between 9 and 11am.  then they called again today and hung up. when i do pick up, its a recorded woman's voice asking to speak with the person who takes care of the electric bill.  The caller ID says, "Electric Company" so you think its your utility company,.  They then say how they are going to "Save you money" - omg!   stop calling ..... I ACTUALLY ALREADY USE YOUR SERVICE!   (well, not theirs, but i am using a 3rd party power provider, so stop calling me)  i used their "press 3 to be removed" but that doens't work, they keep calling!

here is what they are selling...  in NJ, a new law was passed like 2 years ago, that would prevent your power provider from being the only one to provide power.  So I have JCP&L - they do 2 things: Generate the power and deliver the power.  Now, after this new law, ANYONE can generate power and see it.  JCPL still delivers it.  So how it works is that i was paying 12 cents per kwh on my power bill, plus delivery of like 10 cents.  I switched to a 3rd party provider, and now pay 10cents per kwh plus 10c for delivery by JCPL/  its all on the same bill.   I saved 2 cents per kill-a-watt- hour.  That's about $20 per month for me since I run the AC a lot, and have a lot of things turned on all day.   So now, there is HUGE competitionf and they are even getting my neighbors to "tell a friend" - its like a feeding frenzy of new business in a starving economy.  So that's what all this is for.  So in my case, i am buying from someone already, but they still call me because they want me to switch to them.

If you're on the national do not call registry, you told them not to
call you and they continue you can sue them.

They call my cell several times a day. When I call it back from my business phone it just rings and rings....

continually calling - on both home and cell phone - how do they get your cell number???????

Some electric utlility subcontracting freak who calls and listens to you answer several times and when you hang up, calls again and again! I am on the dnc list, too!

I get several calls a day from this number. I finally called this number from an unregistered prepaid cell phone (the phone and ALL time cards added to it were paid for in CASH). The prerecorded message I got was "you have reached the automated opt-out number for 2064456112. The call was then terminated. Another phone number will now take that final trip to its eternal resting place, BLOCK CITY.
