Call and no one is there

Called, I let the phone ring twice and pushed talk immediately followed by off. One minute later I received call from same number. Did same. I am not interested in responding to callers who are too chicken to show their name. Even then, if I don't want to talk to you, I won't.

Credit card scam.
The National And State Do Not Call Registry has no teeth in it but this federal law has a huge bite.
The Fereral Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) passed by Congress in 1991, sets out precise rules for telemarketers to follow.

do call federal trade commisson  NOW  to file complaints FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357); TTY: 1-866-653-4261. also add your personal land and cell phone numbers to be listed on the DO NOT CALL LIST if you havent yet, if you have and its more than a month ago that will also help in gov agencys going after these folks who violated your rights(auto messaging). plus if you did talk to these people on phone and gave any personal info out call any of the 3 credit reporting places and ask for a 30-90 day protection on your credit report and all 3 will do so. call all your credit cards and beg for a hold on all activity on any card you gave them ASAP. do all that right NOW.
even though the calls may start out from several dozen or so phone numbers coming from Location: TILLAMOOK, OR or SEATTLE, WA it links to a company in florida many names bla bla - this group has been around atleast 3 years and very busy recently and use dozens of numbers (and names even) to do auto messaging (big no no not allowed) that if you speak with them will promise you the moon on lower card interest and you could have stepped outside most nights and seen the moon for free. get my drift? you need financial help. get your yellow pages out and start calling local CPA / accountants and have a cup of coffee face to face when you find one that will work with you.
p.s. in life a person has choices to be a nobody and do nothing but complain and wait for somebody to solve the problems or decide to be a somebody and do what can be done to make things right and save others not just yourself.(i give my full permission to copying, reposting or emailing this message fully intact - to warn people. anyone have a friend that works at a newspaper? maybe they can help)

gee guys i am on the DO NOT CALL LIST(since 2007) the only calls i get on my 3 lines are friends or law skiders and scammers. so if you bug me i will waste your time! also collect info and keep turning you in with each new number and name you call from. if it saved 1 other person from being bothered that sounds like a good use of my time. i have the time to waste and they (victims of illegal auto calls and finacial debt concerns) might not have the $500 to $1,000 to waste.
you do not represent, nor sent by - my bank, my card companys nor any credit reporting company, i have checked with each new twist in the spiel thats said - i just cant stand people that lie. i do not wish to recieve calls from your group but i will answer my phones to play and fact gather.

Usual scam.  Recording says it is urgent that I talk to them about lowering my CC rates.  Pressed 3 to discontinue calls, and it hung up.  They called again 3 hours later from a different number.  Filed DNC complaint.

"This is Rachel from Card-holder services..." and I'm calling to scam you with some bogus plan to lower your interest rate on credit cards.  Since this is all a fraud to begin with, the nocall list is useless to prevent it.

Credit card scam.
These folks call often and seemingly from different phone numbers as well.  Their message begins mid-sentence and has a sense of urgency about lowering my CC rates.  It's bogus.  I've been on the DNC registry for a long time and just today re-registered to be double-sure nothing expired.  I've also registered with the national Do Not Mail list.

Let all your friends and neighbors, especially the elderly, know that these calls are a SCAM.  The elderly are especially vulnerable and it infuriates me that they would be taken advantage of.

By the way folks, you can get off the political call list, too!  (Don't remember where I did it, but google it and do it now.  2012 is already hot and heavy.)

Pretty much the same as everyone else.Fortunately,they dont call much,maybe once a week.But for last 6 months at least,the message says that my eligibility is going to expire shortly.Probably a year from now,will be hearing the same.

Got yet ANOTHER call.  I want OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF their list and have said so to them...if anyone is there.  Have I no option but for them to intrude into my home?  I'm on the DNC list.  Where is all this protection we hear about?

This is getting to be so frustrating.  These jerks call at least once per day, no matter what button you press nothing happens, it just disconnects.  Starts out with the same "Rachel of card holder services..."  just like several other numbers that show up on caller ID from all over the country.  We have two credit cards we seldom use and pay them off every time we do, but they still keep the calls coming.  What possible benefit does this give to them.  It has to cost something to keep dialing out all these calls, what is their motivation?  I am not a violent person, but I sure would like a few minutes alone with "Rachel" and her friends.

On my caller ID it is listed as PacificTel. They said they want to lower my credit card interest rates & were calling from Credit Card Services Nationwide. Asked for the last 4 of my Social they said to verify they were indeed speaking with me. When they started asking me for my credit card numbers I told them I had already given them too much info and refused. Are they a legit company?
