Recorded message from Card member services to reduce credit card rate.

If you call back the number, they offer an option to be placed on do not call list.

This  company continues to call even after I have requested that they cease and desist. It is very annoying.  They offer to reduce credit card interest, but one must have a lot of debt. After being told I have no card debt they hang up but will call again the next day or so.

Keep getting calls from 206-496-0809.  They hang up if I pick the phone up.

Yesterday was the first day our number was active... the phone company told us it had been inactive for MORE than a year.  Within hours, 206-496-0809 called with a "Final offer" to reduce credit card rates based on a "Yearly review of credit".  We know this call is not for us, because we have not given our number to anybody.  Doubtful it is a legitimate offer, since a "yearly credit review" of the previous holder of our phone number would show that they had moved more than a year ago.  

There was no option to be removed from this caller's call list.  Sure enough, they called again today at 5:18pm... 25 hours later and we receive yet ANOTHER 'final call'.

We have put our number on the DNC registry and will keep complaining to the DNC Complaint Center about this recorded message telemarketer.  DNC Complaint Center website states, "You may also file a complaint if you received a call that used a recorded message instead of a live person (whether or not your number was on the Registry)."

We were harrassed by telemarketers for months at our previous number, ever since we moved into this area code and unfortunately inherited a number frequented by multitudes of telemarketers.  We tried and tried to stop these recorded calls, asked to be removed from the call lists, etc.  We have an unlisted number and are on the Do No Call list.  We have since changed our number and seem to have inherited a new batch of telemarketers, although so far there are fewer of them.  These crooks are seemingly inescapable.  Since the problem isn't going away, I have found some other solutions. I have discovered the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA). People, it pays to be diligent, keep logs of all the calls and your requests to be removed. Then initiate a phone trace and find out who has actually been calling... in my experience calls from various area codes lead to the same call center because the dialers use pseudo-numbers. Once you know who has been harrassing, you can sue (within the four-year statute of limitations) and they are liable for damages of $500-$1500 PER PHONE CALL. This applies to debt collectors also. Hit them in the wallet, that is apparently the only way to win this battle. Call your phone service provider to find out how to initiate call trace. Here is more info on the TCPA:

Who the heck are they?  They call about once a week and I keep telling them NOT to -

the calls are as described, message to lower cc rates then hang up on you when you mention do not call list. report them.

Followed what "Very Annoyed" mentioned in their post. Called the number on my caller id, was offered a way to select "put on their do not call" list. Now to see if they call back. I am on the Federal and State Do Not Call List. I will report them, just as I always do in such cases. If they do I have the number for my state's Consumer Affairs right by my phone.

Thanks for letting us know about calling them back to be put on their "Do Not Call list". It was just as you said. Pressed the button to be placed on the list and now will wait to see if they ever call again.  (See more below.)

This number "Card Services" calls me every other day.  I do not wish to be contacted by them.

I have received several calls from this number and asked not to be called by them.  The calls still come.  My number is on the national Do Not Call register.  Any ideas how to stop the calls?
