Call came in on a brand new (well, a regurgitated new) cell phone number. Called back on an independent cell number -- it's an unidentified telemarketer. They claim you are on their "preferred" call list. They do give you an option of removing yourself. Yeah, right. Good luck with that.

I did recieve a call from this number,I tried to reach it back,but it was a recorded message from a telemarketer and asking if you wanted to be placed on ( a  do not call list!!!!)

I applied for a job and you were required to say that you wanted more information about educational opportunities to apply for the job.  So far, I have received 5 phone calls.

I've received 3 calls to date across ~ 3 weeks.  Caller ID showed "Pacific Tel" ??  I live in Chicago.
I don't pick up unrecognized numbers, but I have started picking up my phone and hanging up after 2 seconds, then hang up ...Hopefully the person, group, etc who sponsors such calls will incur far more expense if all of us "Annoyed folk"  do the same. Maybe the cost in $$$ will eventually come close or exceed OUR annoyance with the calls.  (^o*)

I have received the same phone call and I have done all that you have done. Today I did something different. I spoke with the computer or live person (I couldnt tell ) and I gave them little or false info including my name. Then I was routed to a real person who I spoke with for 8 min. Gave her alot of BS, I did not have a job, never went to school, spouse in military ect. When she asked me for my address I told her I dont give it out over the internet she said I cant continue this interview. I then told her that I was BS her all the time and that I didnt even give her my real name. She got a little angry and was confused. I told her I requested that her company not call me again that I was on the federal do not call list. and if I receieve any more phone calls I will waste their time just like they are wasting mine my calling me. Lets see if this works GOOD LUCK ALL!!!

I've gotten 8 calls from these folks in three days and have asked 4 times (the 4 times I actually answered) to be placed on their do not call list. Hmmm.... So yeah.  Who do I talk to about harassment? Jerks.

That number is no longer in service.

Received several calls from various numbers claiming that I wanted more information on going back to school.  However, I never requested any information regarding more education, I currently have several degrees and was just looking for a job.  When answer the cell number they start their spill and do not listen to a word that you say and definitely do not take you off their call list.

These people are violating the law by masking their true identity & manipulating the caller ID to display "Pacifictel" I'd suggest everyone file a complaint at FCC.gov for each phone call. Third one down - Telemarketing, Prerecorded Messages, Caller ID Spoofing, and Do-Not-Call

Received a call from these Maroons today.  They can SHOVE IT .  But I feel for you half-wits who think saying "Don't call me" HERE will stop 'em!  They don't know your number, they don't know you, and they probably don't even waste time on this board.  GET WITH THE PROGRAM.  REPORT them!
