Call at 10:47 am--left no message on my voicemail.  Called back with my other phone number blocked, and the response was a message that the system could not accept my call with my number blocked.  The message then said for me to call back with an unblocked number so that I could be deleted from their system.

Called me even though I am on do not call lists.

related to unknown credit card, said press 1 to be added to do not call list. I pressed 1.

Caller ID said Financial Ctr. Left no message. There is no point in calling me; I do not answer calls from unfamiliar numbers.The do-not-call rules are way to lax and need to be tightened.

They called our house saying your cardmember services card was eligible for interest rate reduction something to that effect. When we answered, asked which credit card, they said "any".

Cardmember Services. We've done the whole "push two to be removed" routine longer than I can remember, so this time I pressed one to tell them to take us off their list, and after the SOB on the other end completed "SO, I hear yer innerested in lowerin' yur credit card rates!", I said "No." No sooner did "NO" cross my lips, the creep hung up on me.

I received a call from this number, but no one responded when I said, "hello".

Received a call telling me that they have been trying to get a hold of me to keep my credit card. Pressed 1 to be removed and told them I was a Sheriff and have asked several times to be removed from their list. He said "Good, I've always wanted to tell a cop to go [***] themselves" and hung up.

Got a call from them too. No message. I just keep adding these ridiculous call numbers to my blocked numbers list with Comcast. Unfortunately this one is going to be my last - 12 max.  Hate these callers!!!

I did the same thing....pressed "1" and asked to have my number removed and he hung up on me! They could at least be polite and say "ok".

Ditto. How do these guys stay in biz? Who would ever do biz with them? And where's our govt? The Do NOt Call list is a fraud. I get 2-3 calls a day.

A solution:

Buy a phone (for example, one MIGHT exist with the model number  KX-TG6671) which you can set to block numbers. The one I recently bought can only block 30 numbers, but that is better than none.

( This is satisfying; sometimes it blocks the number from ringing the phone at all, but usually 1 ring, then the blocked number is given a busy signal. )

This is another one of those nusiance calls where you ans and nobody says anything. When you call back you have the option of being removed from the list. The FCC needs to get involved and go after these people. If they get hefty fines it might stop!

Got the call, didn't leave a message. Called back and was able to press 1 to be removed. The "do not call" list is a complete and utter joke. I must get at least 10 calls a day from different companies.

I really just want to know what the point is of being on the DNC registry because I get calls from this number and a whole slug of other annoying telemarketing calls several times a day. Yesterday was a holiday and I got 3 of them. I have no interest in lowering the interest on my credit cards, I don't have a baby, I'm not dying of cancer, etc. And they say if you press a certain number you can have your number removed from their list. No you can't ~ that's just another scam to keep you on the phone longer. What is it going to take to make these callers stop? Are these the only jobs available in the USA anymore? Calling centers that call people and try to scam others?

I have received more than 150 (I have them documented) calls from these criminals. I have filed more that 50 complaints with the FTC however due to the fact that they hide behind spoofed numbers I doubt that they will ever stop any of them. They ask for up front fees and charge your credit card without performing any services.

I find that I am getting great enjoyment by pressing 1 and talking to one of their "reps". I have a phony name, credit card number, and security code that I use. The only legitimate number that I give them is the customer service number from a credit card that I no longer use since the card raised my rates.
I try to ask the criminals as many questions as possibe to keep them on the phone as long as I can. The scammers seem to get upset once they finally figure out that THEY are getting scammed. I guess they think their time is more valuable than mine.

This telephone number belongs to Pacific Telecom Communications Group.  They insist that they do not initiate illegal telemarketing calls, however they are involved in managing the calling lists for their "3rd party contractors" who make the telemarketing calls.
