Repeated calls about lowering my credit card rate and indicating this is the "final offer", but they call every other day.

Call stating from cardmember services.  Pressed one for an operator who asked if I wanted to lower my interest rate.  I said, no, I'd like you to stop calling, and she disconnected the call.

206-496-0935 called me at 4:34PM on 06/06/2012.   Caller ID said Financial Ctr.   The robot call said call was from Card Member Services.    The message was that I could get lower interest rates on credit card debt if I had a balance over a certain amount.   I am going to report the call to the FCC:   http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

Received one call from this company 6/6 and three calls on 6/7 offering to lower our credit card interest rate. Likewise, we were disconnected when we stayed on the line to complain.  We have literally had scores of calls from this company over the last year.  We are filing a Do-Not-Call Complain form with our state's attorney general.

Received an unwanted call from this number. I reported it to the FCC. We must report these scammers in order to make them stop.

Same thing - I finally pressed 1 to talk to someone, and they disconnected me when I said I wanted them to stop calling.  I've reported to FTC and Do Not Call registry

Got a call from this number at 4:15 today. I am so tired of these calls! Ask them to quit and they won't sooooo, I pressed 1 and screamed into the phone as loudly as I could. She called me pathetic and hung up. That was so much fun! Card Services. Whatever!

This number called me, just now.  I get these calls several times a week.. w/a recording about my credit card (lower interest rates, urgent information, etc.).  I don't even HAVE a credit card!  The caller ID usually says "Seattle, WA" or a different city in Washington.  This time I stayed on the line, and pressed the 1 "to talk with a customer service representative" (so I could ask them to take my number off their list).  
The woman who answered said, "Hi, are you ready to lower the interest rate on your credit card?"    I replied (VERY NICELY):  "No, but I..."  and she HUNG UP before I could finish my sentence!    
I am on the gov. "do not call" list.  Isn't there any enforcement when telemarketers disregard this??   Apparently not!    I've filed numerous complaints (w/phone numbers included) to FCC .gov , but I don't think they follow up on this stuff at all.  They could easily track down who's purchasing/using the phone numbers & penalize them, if they really wanted to.

I get calls from this number on a daily basis.  The prerecorded message usually disconnects before I can press "1" for an operator.  I've filed a couple of complaints on donotcall.gov, but I wonder if it even makes a difference.  I'm totally fed up.  What's the point of the Do Not Call list if telemarketers can just robocall their way into my home?  I'm contacting my congressman's office next.  I've had enough!

Credit card company do not make cold phone calls.  These calls are scams. Do not fall for it. The idea is to call your credit company with the phone nunber on the back of the credit or debit card from the bank that isssue your cards. If you give these scammer your card number and name they can steal your money for sure. Or make purchases .Call the number on the back of your credit card to verify the call that you receive. If you happen to give these scammer your credit card inforamation call your bank or credit union right away to have them give you the complaint form to fill out.. I have just recently have my debit card change because of unthorise use of my card informnation. So remember credit card company do not make cold phone calls.

Asked if they were a collection agency...Then they gave told me I could get my credit card rates lowered - I told them I have never used a debit or credit card in my entire life...I pay cash for everything.
I asked them to put me on the DO NOT CALL LIST and she got rude and HUNG UP

same as everyone else except that it calls my mother several times a day EVERY single day and she is dying of cancer so she don't need harassed by idiots that she don't even want calling, she has even talked to someone and got hung up on likewise as others have. Its ridiculous!!!! I personally registered and RE registered my moms number with the DNC registry so I know it is on there also!

Have been getting these calls everyday.  It is making me mad as hell, but I can't do anything about it.  I see from the other posts that trying to talk them is fruitless.  There should be a way to stop this kind of harassment.  Does anyone know of a way to report and stop it.  The DNC registry obviously is just another gov. failure.  I do not answer any 800 numbers or ones with Unknown Name/Unknown number.

These [***] call me several times a week.  When I press 1 ans ask to be removed from their list, they just hang up.  Today I told someone who identified himself as "Craig" that I was fed up with this.  He mockingly replied that he was fed up too.  He then hung up.  There must be a way to identify these people and make them stop!!!

Always the same m.o. - numerous calls which usually stop on the 3rd ring.  No one on the line and no message is ever left.

What concerns me is that there is such a glut of these blowhards, the FCC, DNC Lists, etc. can't keep up with them.  They'll go from one originating phone number to another, occasionally fooling us into answering the phone.

Too bad my "Selected Call Rejection Service" only allows 12 phone numbers to be blocked.  Hey credit card turds:  "Be-low me!"

I have received more than 150 (I have them documented) calls from these scum sucking criminals. I have filed more that 50 complaints with the FTC however due to the fact that they hide behind spoofed numbers I doubt that they will ever stop any of them. They ask for up front fees and charge your credit card without performing any services.

"Some on your list have already been the subject of FTC action, such as Roy M. Cox of Castle Rock Capital Management. Not surprisingly, many are habitual repeat offenders, and are the subject of multiple FTC actions. FTC action is grossly inadequate in these cases. The millions of unsolicited "Heather" "Rachel" et all, Card Services robo calls will not begin to subside until these criminals are charged with Federal Felonies, are convicted and subjected to significant jail time.

Civil action by the FTC against such criminals is totally ineffective. All of those involved know that they are violating FTC regulations. The FTC prohibits unsolicited calls for any kind of debt / interest rate reductions which require up front fees, period, and that is what these robo calls are about. The FTC civil actions have been nothing more than whack-a-mole interference. Which is why numerous individuals are the subject of repeated actions, despite signing prior agreements that prohibit future involvement. The FTC levies huge fines, then rescinds them based on inability to pay. The FTC settles for the minimal cash on hand, and enjoins them from future "telemarketing". The criminals sign off, then go right back to business. The entire operations are clearly criminal, intent to defraud, etc, and should be dealt with in criminal court and not by civil actions.

The banking system is also at fault here, without merchant accounts and ACH processing these criminals could not collect the scammed funds. Though the criminals use obfuscation, layered corporations, multiple bank accounts and offshore stashing, patterns of obvious fraudulent activity become apparent after a short time.

If you are interested in obtaining useful tracking information on the callers, I suggest another angle in the conversations. Act very interested in the rate reduction scam, as you have multiple high interest cards with large balances. Tell them that you don't give out card numbers in response to unsolicited calls. However, tell them that if they provide you with a verifiable number that you will then call them back and provide the info.

Since many of the operatives work on commission they will provide direct contact numbers if they believe you are serious about completing the deal. Verified return phone numbers are an excellent tool in tracking the people behind the operations.

Many of the inbound robo call numbers are spoofed, as most of the bolierhouses, both off and on shore, are using Voip SIP Trunks services. Throwaway DID numbers are also used. Some of the robocalling is operated by the end use scammers directly. Others are contract services who earn a referral fee once you are transferred to the scammers.

In a follow up post I will document one group associated with the Rachel "Card Services" and the pond scum, including a lawyer behind one of the operations. Follow the money ..... track the recipients ... and take a close look at the processors and banks involved."
