My girlfriend got these several weeks ago and i just received one today. Its an attempt to get you to sign up for a free/discounted cruise scam. Its disguised as a political survery to get around the do not call registry rules.

Just received a call from this number!!!!  On my cell phone! I am at work!!!! I want THIS TO STOP IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not appreciate being called if I DO NOT KNOW you.

Called my work phone. Not acceptable!
This number is for a political survey, which states you were called to participate in a survey that has now expired. It then offers for you to press "1" if you DON'T want to participate in future surveys.  However, when you press "1," it says "thank you for choosing to participate in our survey." Obviously there is no "opt out" feature on this auto program.  Very frustrating.

My wife received a call on her personal cell phone last night from (206) 496-0986.  She did not answer it.

I just received a call on my business cell phone from the same (206) 496-0986.  When I answered the call no one responded.  Guess I'll have to block that number.

Any common ground here? I am on Sprint Wireless Network in New England.

It was a recording that asked me to take a 30 second political survey. For my time, they told me I would be awarded with a two-day Hawaii vacation. I'm pretty sure it's a travel agency scam disguised as a political survey.
