Same as others; said they were the Washington State police and that we should call immediately to avoid action.  Used the name Officer John Harris

I just received the same call, this time it was from a John Smith - I mean come on, how original can this name be. Be aware of this scam!!

Got a call today, but not an automated message, but from a heavily accented Indian male claiming to be Officer Daniel something or other. He stated that he was an IRS agent and that my name is associated to a criminal investigation taking place. He said that it is an urgent matter and to call 206-512-1480 immediately. I knew it had to B.S. and sure enough it was.

Received message threatening to arrest my husband.   Heavily accented Indian male .....marshal.   An officer Kevin Brown working with the it's.   Just left a message on the cell phone different names.  Disgusting!!!

I received a call similar to those listed above and at the provided link, stating that I need to turn myself in to the police department or call officer john harris of the IRS immediately.  Obviously a scam as noted but the funny thing is that I googled the original phone number and it came up as the courts phone number in a town I used to live in.

Well.. they are getting more sophisticated. Call came from the number of the local police department of a state I previously lived in.  When I returned the call it was patched to the Indian guy but this time his name was James O'Connor.    Did he not know that the IRS was closed today for Veteran's Day?  What an idiot.

This is the exact same indian guy who also calls playing recordings through another phone of legit companies. He calls pretending to be insurance companies, medical companies, real estate companies, charities, credit card debt companies, you name it. I have talked to him a few times. Once he has your phone number he will call and call and call always reinventing his services.

I talked to AT&T a few times, they tell me their fraud people know his originating overseas number but don't block it because he may be spoofing someone else's number. What a load. Then they tell me my phone company Verizon sells a service to block these types of calls. Its nice to know that I can call the phone company about fraud calls, and they use it as a way to up sell something I don't need. For all I know this indian guy works for AT&T LOL.

I received a phone call from an man with an Indian accent named Mike Lee. Stating he was calling because of tax crime. He tried to get me to pay $2,000 over the phone. Stating that if I didn't they would arrest me today because they have a a warrant for my arrest. Please be careful people!!!

i got a call from deputy jones, washington state police. saying to turn myself to a local pd or call officer john harris relating to a federal crime.

deputy jones calls me and tells me to turn myself in to local pd relating to a federal crime that officer john harris has filed against me. or i can call officer john harris to discuss it. im sacred..

John Brown almost got me too!  How disgusting what people will do for money.

Got the same message.  When I called him back and asked "who are you?, what company is this?" without mentioning the voicemail he left me, he said "Who are  you?  you are the one calling me, why are you asking me?".  When I indicated that he just proved to me that he is a fraud, he started cursing at me and using every F and B words...  unbelievable.

Called the number back and requested to be put on the "Do Not Call List." Person with Indian accent asked, "Why?" I replied this is a scam and I'm having the police investigate this matter. His reply, "Sure Ma'am."

This guy has called my home phone AND my cell phone.  I want to know how he has both AND my full name attached to both.  Seems like some business' data was hacked.  He told me I was under an investigation by the local police- and he knew the town name as well.  I would LOVE to know who compromised our data.
