- KarenThey have called a couple of times a week apart saying from BECU and regret to inform me that my credit card is missing.
- James A. Cronin, CFE| 2 repliesReceived a robo call earlier today purportedly saying that my BECU credit card had been frozen and for me to call back and enter a number that they provided. Of course, I don't have a BECU credit card, so I know this was totally bogus. Then I got a call just before midnight from this number. True Caller ID'd it as Mario Rosenbaum. I called the number back, but it rang as not being in service.
- Caller: BECU SCAM

- Karen C replies to James A. Cronin, CFE| 1 replySame here, I got a call saying that my BECU Card had been frozen. I was in the middle of closing on a house and was worried that something had happened to my account so I called BECU directly and they confirmed that this was a phishing scheme and that they issue an investigation/case number for it. If in doubt- always call your CU or banking company directly.
- AD replies to Karen CNo area code on ID - robo call to my cell at 4:37 PM today - stated that my BECU card had been "blocked" and to press "1". I don't have a BECU card and suspected a scam so I pressed "1" and was then instructed to press "1" again to reactivate my card. I entered "1" again and was then instructed to enter my account number!!! This is an evil SCAM!
- smarter than themReceived a call from a computer telling me that my BECU card was compromised and to press 1 for more information. I have never had an account at BECU. This is a scam!!!!
