Called me at 5:30 no one there. I called it back it sounded like a fax machine.

I also keep getting calls from this stupid number! Then I call back and it sounds like a fax!

They called me and I answered but no one was there, then a computer said "good bye" and hung up.

The guy sounded middle eastern

I got a call from this number stating it was the Federal Government Grants department. When I asked to not call again and informed them that if they do I will be contacting the FBI I was sworn at and when I called back they called me back twice making it harassment.

Calls me 5:30pm then 8:00 pm never leaves a message doesn't ring that long.

I have gotten calls from this number , I have blocked it but they use other phone numbers, always the same thing, if I answer they sometimes will say its about wanting to give me a grant but I need to send money first. or there is silence, I try to call back and get dead air, the number shows as a cell number. They are using other phone numbers. I have blocked each number then the next day they call with a different number from different state, So far Florida, Utah, Washington, Texas, Tennessee, New York,Missouri

I too have had these calls that show up on my caller ID as originating from different states and with different stories.  But trust me they all come from some call centers in India!  They get our names and phone numbers as they service different companies here, the UK and other countries and loop their calls to make it appear they are local, instate and out-of-state, calls.  They use Anglo names and pretentious (or what they think) American accents.  I can easily make out their underlying Indian tones as I am also from that part of the world!  On one occasion I had a big verbal fight in my language with the guy at the end as he also spoke my language, and boy he must heard the worst abuse of his life!!

My advice is not to answer or call back strange callers.  They are only after your money.  As it is the service provided by them is some of the most useless waste of time.

I keep getting calls from this number all hours of the day and nite. They speak terrible English and can't pronounce our name. When I ask who's calling they hang up on me. When you call back it's a fax machine.
