Person responded to my craigslist ad via email.  The first email was very well written.  The second email I received looked as though it was poorly translated through an online tool or something.  Wanted me to give them my PayPal information and offered to pay an extra $200.00 for my item.  Definitely a scam.  I would avoid this number at all costs.

received this email on Craigslist. Gotta be a scam.....as all emails like this are. His name came up on Yahoo as Brian Shah.

I m ok with the items,however i will like to pay for the rims via US Certified Check, i will need your full name,phone number and address to send the check to you.The check will get to you in 2-3 days and when you got the check you go head in cashing the check at your Bank,i will wait for you to confirm and clear the check before any futher transaction.You dont need to worry about the shippment,i have a shipper that will come for the pickup at your location after the check clears in your bank and deduct your money for the items......
 The payment will be in excess as i will want you to contact my shipper with the excess fund after you must have confirmed and cashed the check at your bank,you will send the excess fund to my shipper via Money Gram Money Transfer,he needs the money to come and pick the rims up at your location you will also let me know when you will be available for them to come for the pickup after you have your money at hand..If you have any question regarding this transaction please dont esitate to ask.You can get the posting deleted from Craiglist.Thanks and God Bless

I also received an email from this person using the exact same wording as the previous postings, however he used a different name Bien Kessler.  I'm very confident this is a scam.  I would avoid any transactions with this person also.

what could this scam be? i sold my item through craigslist and got a check in excess of what the cost was. he contacted me and asked to forward the excess to a shipper which was gonna pick up this item, and who was also shipping other purchases for him.

then he thanked me and asked if he could send me another check, i would forward it to the same shipper again, and i could keep 300 bux.

now he says he usually buys autoparts for his auto shop and he could trust me with sending me money and having me send it to his shippers. i would be getting 300 bux each time i help him out.

this sounds kinda crazy since he could be sending the money straight to the shippers and saving money. what could he be doin?

Got an email from a Brian from an ad I have on craigslist Asked if the item is available & left this phone# & Brian as his name. I tried to call with a weird recording. I replied via email & got the response below. Another scammer.

Got an e-mail for a Cragslist posting posted in the SF Bay area with this number as a call back. Area code 206 is from Seattle WA. not CA. Definetly a scam!

I called and emailed. As soon as I said I needed a sighned invoice and if a credit card is to be used it must be fron a us bank. I have never heard from him again.

He texted me:
I will like to purchase it as it is. I would have loved to come in person, but due to the nature of my work, I won't be able to. I will be making payments via certified or business check, the check will get to you in 2-3 days and when you get the check you go ahead in cashing the check at your bank. i will wait for you to confirm and clear the check before any further transactions so get back to me with your full name, address, city state and zip-code and your mobile number. (no p.o. box please) concerning the shipping, i will handle the shipping by my shipping company so all i need to do is to send you a check of excess fund so you can deduct your money so i can send the excess to my shipper head office in CA. My pickup agent with come for the pick at your residence after the check clears. so get back to me with the info to send the check out.

Just got the same message but in an email. SCAM ARTIST! REPORT THIS GUY!

I got a message from this same guy last night at 10:43pm on August 4th. I have an ad on craigs list. His message says,

I would like to report this guy but Im not sure how. We are honest people trying to sell our items on craigs list, some of us have items we really need to sell for financial reasons, why cant these a$$h0les leave us alone. There has to be something that can be done to stop him!

This person sent me a bogus e-mail, I have researched this number and he has done it more then once also using a different name each time. can you please stop this guy from sending messages with this number or can you give me information on where and who I could contact to report him

I received two messages, one just stated he was interested, the other stated he wanted to send extra so we could pay his shipper from California.It was for an ad on Craigslist. Its a scam and I'm sick of it.

Any buyer who wants to send a check, GO ALONG with it. Send the check to a friend, FBI, or ??? We go along with it every time. Get their hope up!! When the check arrives the buyer will email with in 2 hours.
Here's where the fun starts. Not only have you now screwed him out of $20 overnight shipping, now you get to piss him off. My story goes as:
Yes I received your check, but the bad news is my wife & I are separated & she was here when the check came in. She took the check & cashed it. She said she was going to take the kids to Disney. I know I'm supposed to send you back $1,000. But could you please work with me. I will send you $500 now & the other $500 in 2 days when I get paid.
OMG he just soiled his pants!! Now keep it going for a few days, then send him a picture of Mickey Mouse & say you used his money to go meet your wife at Disney. Then laugh the rest of the day!!
