they just called me..who are they?

Didn't recognize the #, and so sent it to voice mail. Maine?

They call often, and at different times of day and night. They never leave a message.  We have an unlisted and unpublished number.

It's a research company that tells you they have "an important survey" for you. It sounds like a live person connecting you to an automated survey; I tried to tell them to take me off their list but the live person may have also been a recording. UGH!

I got a call from this number, it was "Victoria from RC Survey with an important message" yeah if you call back to that number you can get on their DNC list....so? I will get the same call from another number...and another...and another.
There is no hope they are somehow protected and untouchable.

This number has been calling my house repeatedly over the past month. Now it's also calling my office.

Today, 207-493-2615 called my home, which is unlisted and private. I didn't answer, but MRKRCH is a Telemarketing Company in Maine.
I have noticed, that each time I phone Verizon Wireless for questions about my account, I receive calls such as this. There could be a connection, but highly doubtful.

Ever since I pulled my credit report from www.freecredit report.com i have been getting telemarketers calls.  Within an hour or requesting my credit report the calls started.  Not just this number but everyone I google is some type of telemarketer.  I'm sure of this because I put my work number in the request for the credit report.  No one has my work phone number out side the company I am contracted through. I will never use www.freecreditreport.com again.

I got a call today 5/27/2011.  It claims it is giving cruises away.  I followed through to see just how far I get.  It instructs you to loginto a website and then the website fails.  At least it did for me.  Not sure if I will get continual calls on this line.   I will update if I do.  HTe web to claim th eprize is

used Free credit report .com  This happens everytime I use them, they sell your info.

I have been getting calls from 207-493-26xx (207-493-2600, 207-493-2614, 207-493-2615, 207-493-2603, 207-493-2626) for the past few months and have ignored them (never leave a voice message).  They are calling my Google voice number, which I use for questionable things, so I knew not to answer it.

I finally answered one of the calls and it was an auto recording of a fake operator lady that forwarded me to another auto recording saying I would win a free cruise if I answer a questionnaire.  Press 1 to answer the questions (I waited without pressing 1 to see what would happen) and it eventually just hung up on me.

I rarely give this number out, but it ironically started happening right after I signed up for a box.net trial.  box.net requires a phone number for creating an account... really who does that.  I was reluctant so I gave them my google voice number.  I am not saying that it is box.net, but it is odd that it started after I did this.
