I believe this to be a scam.  I keep getting messages from this phone number stating that a civil claim has been filed, summons division, on and on.  Beware!

I got this call also and called them back from the number they called me from.  They hung up on me after I told them to locate me by my phone number.  They wouldn't tell me anything about why they called my phone.  So after they hung up on me the first time I laid into them the second time. These calls come from WA, OR, ME, SD. I told them they were a scam and again hung up on me.

I was told the company is Brunson and Associates about a payday loan i never recieved. The individual yelled at me and threatened jail time. I had spoken with them previously and asked them to send me court papers with a date in the mail. Never recieved them

They called me from this 207 number, as well as: (360)-313-7962 and (971)-404-3078.... They will tell you that there are charges against you or whatever, and that you can settle out of court by paying X amount of money...
It's a BIG FAT SCAM.

They have all your personal info, including SSN, because you put it in when you apply for a PayDay Loan.

I told them to send me the court papers, and I'll go to court! Idiots.

I received a message saying something about fraudulent activity on my ssn, and to call back to clear it up b4 I am summoned; otherwise the case will proceed.  Obvious scam.  But they left it on my Mother's machine so it scared her.  In response to "Speaker," how do you know they have all of that info?  That part does worth me...although I would like to see someone try to use it--lmao!  My credit is TERRIBLE!!!  Nonetheless, I shall file a report with the FCC, and put a fraud alert on my ssn with the credit bureaus.  I'll check out my credit report to make side nothing is out of place.  I recommend you all do the same.  Thanks for the website!

The exact same thing happened to me yesterday, 7-3-13. In the very same instance as yourself. A automated call to my parents phone number saying all the same bs.

the same # has called me with threats of going to jail if acc.he quoted isn't pd..would settle for another amount lower..that my court date is aug.9,2013 at 9:00 a.m. in washington state.well i live in central fla.and with their 25$ voucher she says use it for gas/bus ticket..with 25$ the bus would only let you set there for a little while or maybe 25-50 miles and 25$ for gas wouldn't get me to fla.line..lol
       so at my age they pretty much scared the s--- out of me until my bank sent me the statement and she told me to go on this web site..

Got one payment out of me until another company by the name of National Check Mediation services called then I knew it was a scam...I changed my account number, got my money back, and have been calling them ever since leaving messages...one person even left me on hold for an hour until I gave up. I'm still waiting to hear back.

I recieved a call yesterday from 347-272-1886 out of New York, the first time I called I got put right on hold for a rep and got as many details as I could about what they 'have' on me, told them I'd call them back after I researched a bit. I called back a few minutes later and the man that picked up the phone was the voice of the man that originally called to notify me of the civil action against me...didn't identify a company name, just answered the phone, "This is so and so"...thought I had the wrong number. Hung up, called back got someone else who didn't say a company name but gave my case number and spoke back with Tanya, the lady I got the info from.

The company they had me listed as working at was one I haven't worked for since 2004, yet the loan was supposedly taken out May of 2008. It also doesn't show up on my credit report as a bad debt despite being told it is an account 5 years old that has accumulated interest...and I couldn't legitimize the company name of Brunson and Associates (the name I had to ask for seeing as they don't give it as an intro..)

I was also working CRAZY overtime in both april and may of that year with the company I still work for and had NO need to take out a loan so I told them to do what they had to do and that I looked forward to meeting the officer that was going to be serving me the full information. It is total BS...they did ask for the last 4 of my social and gave me the name of 2 references I supposedly listed on the account but I did take out a payday loan with a local company in 2004 but it was paid completely off and if I needed one, i could go right back in there for one because my account was in good standing. They are hijacking payday loan info from somewhere and apparantly calling people known to have gotten one in the past to scam them out of money....what a load of BS.

This is some craziness, just received a call saying I owed 713.41 on a payday loan From 2007, they man named my grandma who is deceased my sister, and my bank all kinds of other information that is old, threeathened me with jail and defrauding a bank, This is such a scam it's crazy!!! I was so pissed off!  I am waiting on these papers, LOL!

got a call for the last 2 weeks from several numbers here they are  202-803-5785,   501-490-9400. 678-394-4289,   again this is from a company called Brunson & Associates. they are wanting me to pay a debt from a credit card that I had in 1998..they keep giving me different amounts that I owe this is for a capital one card...wow really...long time what has it been 15 years or so...well anyways they are threatening me to send a police officer out to pick me up on two warrants for this credit card saying it is fraud because I did not pay it off..well then they are trying to force me to pay 338.33 a month for 6 months...I talked to a lawyer they said this was a scam and not to pay them..this company will also try and email you a paper to docusign as well some type of cheesy agreement...different people will call you they will also give you a case number starting with CAP*****. they will also send a automated announcement telling you that a warrant has been issued for your arrest...if anyone has gotten any call like this please let me know..

I got a call like this on Monday.   I closed my old bank account because I found out it was a scam.

Got a phone call from these [***] clowns saying they where serving my wife with papers either at home or at work  called em back  lady was rude hung up on me when i was giving her the go around so i called back again , and again , and again . And will keep calling them back. I know its a scam so as long as they keep it up i will keep it up two can play at this game ... Lol
