Hi, I am from New Zealand and I got that letter too but that person changed some of the informations like: "His name is Anthony Burton, a foreigner dead name Mr K P Ye maybe my next of kin died leaving $15.5million"!!!!ummm.... I need to give this information to the police!!! That person needed help and must be very sick!!!

We have received the letter from Allan Burns but signed Allburnsby claiming to be the Auditor General of Investment Services Limited. Dead foreigner named in the letter is Mr K P Heather. He asks us to quietly partner them by standing as the next of kin and provide a bank account number for them to deposit part or all of the $15.5 million.

Anyone with info on this please reply.

Yep received one recently....this has become a very common occurance.... considering my surname is Heather!!!   They can;t even try to look genuine by using a photo copied letter ...you would think at $15.5m they would use parchment paper!!!!!!!

hahaha!!! got the same letter as alan burns belonging to dead foreigner late K.P. qamamiq & my box % was wrong this box % is police box % hehehehe!!!! nice try Mr Alam Burns

My husband just recieved a letter int he mail today from a Mr Anthony Burton, the auditor general of Investment services Ltd in london. What a hoax. If it was real, he would've spelt our last name (and the name of the so called "deceased") correctly. Also it was signed by a "tom hardy". Clearly a photocopy of someone elses signature as you could see the outlines of the cut and paste job they did. so in one word for this letter - SCAM!!!!!

I got the same letter from Alan Burns, so this is a scam.  Because everyone is getting the same letter.

Thats funny. I'm from NZ aswell and we recieved one too. It's clearly a scam. In our case, dead foreigners name was Mr K P Ae. Should definitely pass it on to the police!!! [***] Burton himself must be very sick and needs all the help he can get!!

Hey mate, I am from New Zealand and i have had the exact same thing, an apparent floating investment of 15.5Million from a dead relative of ours.

i am Mr Anthony Burton the auditor General of our company Investment Services Limited here in London. In the course of my auditing. I discovered a floating fund in an account which was opened in 1990 belonging to a dead foreigner Late Mr K . P. Kim who died in 1999. Records show that every effort made by our company to track any member of his family or any one as the next of kin has since failed because the deceased died leaving no heir or a will in his file. I and my partner have decided ti contact you to stand as the next of kin since you bear the same last name with the deceased.
We intend to facilitate the transfer of this sum of $15.5 Million in the Investment deposit to a safe account overseas. I am therefore proposing that  you quietly partner with us by standing as the next of kin and provide an account or set up a new one that will serve the purpose of receiving this fund. For your assistance in this venture we are ready to part with a good percentage of the entire funds.After going through the deceased person records filed in our office , i discovered that no one has operated this account since 1999 till date and he died without an heir hence the money has floating.
The imformation we have on this account is privileged and confidential as no other person has access to this. If we do not remit this money urgently it would be forfeited and subsequently converted to company funds which will benefit only the share holders of our company . This money can be approved to you legally and with all the necessary documents approvals in your name .However you would be required to show proof of claims which i will provide you with and also guide you on how to make your applications.
Please do give a response by Tel/Fax so that i can send you detailed information on the modalities of my proposition. I completely trust you to keep this proposition absolutely confidential For security reasons kindly forward a copy of this letter back to me by fax with your telephone and fax number where i can reach you easily I look forward to your prompt response.

Same message - only "Thomas Hardy" signed it.  There must be some suckers out there or they'd be losing all of their own money on postage!  Scam, Scam, Scam..........

We live in NZ too and have just received the same letter from Anthony Burton from London. What a scam! The wrong signature, the rubbish photocopy job, and the dollar value used instead of pounds with a supposedly British company really does say it all. Hope nobody does fall for this stuff!

My parents in NZ also received today, in the mail  suspisicious looking envelope the same letter from Tom Hardy definitly looked photocopied, what a waste of my time, heres hoping you get better soon "Tom" Thank god for the internet.

Same letter, same message, just inserted the surname.  Tacky photocopy, signature didn't match the name... Thanks for this post so we could see it was a scam!  My poor mother in law did get very excited about the prospect of a fortune!

 Just got a letter with that number at the bottom, from Alan Snowfields, saying he has $15.5 million in an estate belonging to a hitherto unheard of relative.

I've reported this scam to the UK authorities.

Hi, I live in Dargaville NZ. I also have received this letter.  The letter is identical to everyone elses, they simply change the surname!  My query is, do we take this letter to the police, or simply throw it away?
I hope noone out there is silly enough to get sucked in!!!!
