Verizon is calling from a Qwest line?  Not the usual number for Verizon.  Something says SCAM.

It is a scam.  After getting a couple of calls from this number and no message was left I googled it and saw others who said it was somebody claiming to be from Verizon.

I called the number and the voice sounds just like the one on Verizon's greeting.

I called Verizon and the rep said it was a phishing scam and they are aware of it, obviously.  He said they don't use cell numbers to contact customers and advised not to give any information of any kind.

So tired of phishing crap this # calls all day long!

I haven't answered but I'm getting two calls a day for three days now. Of course, they haven't left any messages.

They call claiming to be Verizon Wireless and that you have an outstanding balance. They want to take your credit card info over the phone to pay it. Total Scam!!!

Received two calls about 45 minutes apart from this number.  Called back and robo voice identified itself as a verizon number and that I was calling from a verizon number.  It then asked me to press 1 if I was so and so which I did because the so and so was my husband (he's the main account holder).  It then wanted me for "security purposes" to enter my 5 digit zip code.  I only called back because I assumed it was a phisher and was trying to get my own dirt on them but wouldn't risk any info so hung up and called verizon directly.  Verizon said they had no record of calling either of our phones today and did not recognize the number I gave them that called me.  I had them block it to prevent future calls as they had called my husband at least 20 times or more in one day.

Have been getting calls from this number and never answer as I have Caller ID and don't answer calls I don't recognize. Maybe Verizon should get off their butts and do something about this. Or is this what Verizon has evolved into to? This caller never leaves a voicemail but is becoming very annoying with the frequency of calls.
