Caller ID is "Wireless Caller" and message is "This is your last chance to lower your credit card rate..."

Just got a call from 208-300-7844, it says wireless call. Tried to called back and doesn't ring, just a click.

I got the same call and as soon as I asked for the name of the company and to be removed from their calling list, the lady hung up on me.

Read the rest.  what I would type is a combination of everything else people have posted.  It's a call from a cell phone.  I get a recording about it being my last chance to save money on a credit card.  When I actually do speak to a person, they hang up as soon as I begin my request to be removed from their call list.  My cell provider cant tell me who it is even though the number is from the same provider I'm with and is using up my minutes.  My cellphone provider blocked the number for me (gee thanks), but I assume this "business" has multiple phone numbers.  I googled the number.  It claims the location the call originated from is Rupert, ID.  Goodluck.

called me and when i ask to be removed and before i could say anything else she says goodbye and is gone and if you call the number that comes on caller id back it says it can't be reahed second call today leave me alone does the do not call list really work

My turn, I guess! Fortunately, I missed the call--they did not leave a message, so just not answering may be an option for some. My Android phone allows a blocking option, so that any future calls will go directly to voicemail. Hope that's enough for them--but I echo the previous entry: what happened to donotcall.gov? I have all our phones registered there, but still get these calls.

I just tried blocking this number on my CenturyTel call blocking service, and it says that this number cannot be blocked!!!  What's up with THAT???  I have begun not answering any call that I don't recognize.  If it's legit, they will leave a message.

Just got a call from this number on my landline, and let it go to voice-mail where there was a partial, pre-recorded message left about how this was the "final call" and my "last chance to take advantage of the financial stimulus"...Scam...

i got a call on my land line too it was something to do with a lower your credit payments and it is your last chance but when i called back just a busy signal was all i got i don't know how someone can get my no to do thise especially since i recently changed it and it is a non published no what can we do to end thise type of harrasment who do we call i am ready to call congress and file complaints!

i recived a call on my landline today and yesterday i am tired of it! the message was a computer generated message about a last chance to lower the crdit card rates i don't even have a credit card i have very bad credit thanks to capital one and medical bills! i know i will not tolerate these calls and i will sue when i find out who they are and where they are located and i will personnaly take care of it my self if i have to bash in heads i will no matter what the cost!

I have been getting the same call--I filed a complaint with the do not call registry.gov!  If enough of us do, maybe they will take it seriously!

I have received several calls from this number over the past three weeks and a message is left on my answering machine advising me it is my last chance to lower my interest rate on my credit card.  The phone number 208-300-7844 on caller ID is bogus and cannot be called back.  They called today and I answered the phone and pressed one to lower my rate.  When someone came on the line and asked if I was interested in lowering my interest rates,  I asked that they stop calling me and they immediately hung up.

These people called me at 4:30 AM.
Today they called again, and when I pressed 1 and waited to talk to the person.  I wanted to tell her that the last time I got a phone call in the middle of the night it was because my son had commited suicide.
I started to tell her, but she said that she didn't like the tone of my voice and hung up on me.
It should be possible to find them, but when I tried to call back, the phone just went dead.
I am pissed!!

I got a call from them this morning at 10:55 on my private business line.  They called in as an important matter about my current credit card account with them.   I just took over this number from a former coworker so I figured I would tell them he or she was no longer with us. I pressed one for a live rep and asked what this was regarding, " lowering your rates on your current account"   I said I dont have an account with you guys   and before I could ask to be removed etc this rude guy just goes " click"

This place has called dozens of times offering to lower the interest rate on my credit card. I went to a representative several times and asked for the name of their company. They promptly hung up.

I wonder if this is a service that is just trying to figure out if people are home or not?  Has anyone ever noticed that you get other calls later on in the day if you answer the phone?  Just wondering.
