Paypal collection. Horrible tone, very rude and unprofessional.  Constantly talk over me and wouldn't let me continue. Threatened to hang up if I don't agree to the unfounded debt.  I hung up before he did.  World's worst companies: Ebay and Paypal, wait, they're the same company!!!  You've created 2 monsters, Meg Whitman.

Yeah it is a debt collector for eBay. They don't even have my real name, Social Security # or real address. But they continue to call to try to collect money on their over priced fees. I only owe them like $500 but it is said to be like $1000 now. Screw them! I'm not paying them anyways. Can't give me bad credit. Thats what they get for ripping off "use to be loyal sellers" by overcharging on fees by three times. Screw them again.

They are terrible. They put me out of business after 7 years and I was a powerseller with more than 2000 positive rating. First PayPal decided after 6 years and 5 years of powerseller status doing over $3000 a month in volume, that my business was risky and started withholding 40% of my funds for 90 days. Only 4 disputes in 7 years, so they could not use that excuse, and admitted that they had simply made the "risky" determination. What a BS money making scam. THAT almost put me out of business, and I was barely holding on over the past year as roughly 70% of my volume is product, postage and shipping, leaving me in the hole as business increased and even worse when it decreased. Then a couple months ago, they unexpectedly refunded two foreign buyers more than $600 in the same month, even though I had proof of shipping with tracking, showing they had received the items...clearly they were trying to scam me. I had been selling on eBay since 2003 and they had never pulled this kind of thing till about a year ago. After the 40% withholding fiasco, I simply walked away leaving $500 in the account to cover a $300 eBay bill. They are still after me for some balance. No idea how it could be any more than that, unless someone in Tunisia claimed they didn't receive their $5 shirt. Imagine.

Called me too. Started off wanting to verify my info. Sounded like a scam to me and I hung up. Ebay terminated my listings and still wants to be paid the full amount of $45 when Paypal still owes me over 200 that is said to be frozen for 6 MONTHS. So let me get this straight? Your holding around $200 of my money in this account and you want me to pay you another $45 out of another?

It's funny that you can't get a live person at Paypal until they think you owe them money!

I called eBay and they verified I don't owe paypal or them anything and that they don't have a branch in Idaho and if it were them they'd leave a message. The eBay rep told me not to answer the call. It's a scam! How can you owe if you don't owe anything? Lol doesn't make any sense!

I bought 8 shirts from a seller in Australia at $8.00 each, in mid Nov/2010. $64.00 total sale. Different sizes and colors but all the same Item number. Seller claimed the money immediately. The next morning E-bay had cancelled the sale. E-bay refunded only 1 shirt to PayPal and me. Took a month to get my refund from PayPal for the other $56.00. Then PayPal showed me as owing hem back the $56.00 for almost another month. Just last Thurd, finally got the two to settle this dispute, and bring my account back to $00.00 balance. For three weeks their Boise, Id and their Nashville, Tn (AC 615) have been calling to collect this. Still getting calls from Boise, ID (AC208). Was told by PayPal, this would take a few days to cancel itself out of their Collections Dept. All their fault, and I was the one being bothered at my business number! Must say that all my previous transactions have all been good ones with E-bay and PayPal. They were just to quick to send this to collections, even when I sent them a reply to their collections e-mail from Brasil, while I was out of the country for a month.

Paypal and ebay has turned to complete b.s. i was just an occasional selller, things i didnt want anymore, and the last time i sold i got charged 75% fee... i called to see why and was put on hold for over 3 hrs so i hung up. along with that, Paypal refunded the same buyer after i had just sent the 550$ roof basket too, i called them multiple times to figure this out and was trying to be as nice as i could to the john smiths with indian accents in atlanta georgia......HAHA.
Paypal canceled my account and said i owe them the money they reimbursed to the guy who totally scammed me.. and ebay cacelled my account over the 75% fee. Now im getting harrassed by these debt collectors 10 times a day untill about 2:30 am for about 8 months. Ive blocked about 12 numbers so far. im never paying this. Completely rediculous.

Stupid Ebay charged a old bank acct for 'fees' for selling a few items- even though I had been purchasing with my new acct for over 6 months. So of COURSE I had overdraft fees in an acct I had closed, and Ebay has no way to freakin' talk to them unless you wait on hold for half an hour (who has time for that?!) - so now they are harassing my phone, and sending me countless emails. Its [***] and unfair.

Ebay Debt collection. I sold on there for years, and one day- out of no where paypal and ebay together decide that I have to be "verified" by giving them my bank account, or they are going to hold funds for items currently listed and I could not list any more items. Keep in mind that I have 100% positive feedback. I decide its not worth it because it would only take 1 jerk, and they'd start taking money out of my bank account, and bounce checks. So I go on ebay cancel my 6 listings because I closed my paypal account, and they are telling me that I owe them for insertion fees for those items. I am not paying for fees for items I had to cancel because they decided that I needed a bank account or could sell no more items. These companies suck- and over my DEAD body will they get this money. SHOP AMAZON !!!!

Totally agree, what a scam, I actually only sold a few items here and there on Ebay, always paid my bill, and then out of the blue started getting called, finally called paypal directly, paid bill, still got called by some other company, paypal denies relationships with any of these people, they will go as far as calling your parents who are elderly and work them over.  Best to not say ANTHING, report the number to Federal Trade Commission, I sense Paypal, Ebay are no longer worthwhile.  They lack the security for me to deal with on occassion and now I've got some moran and God knows who else calling me and every other joe who has the same last name as me claiming I owe like, no kidding like $20.00 for monthly fee's, or something like that, its bad.  Predatory too when you consider they are praying on elderly people, there just are no standards anymore.

I got a call from them a few minutes ago and didn't pick up.  I'll have my husband answer it next time and swear he was just assigned this number and no one by my name lives here.  I have a listing on Ebay right now (only because I'm desperate for some quick cash) and they CLAIM the listing only costs 80 cents...of course, then they'll charge me their fee of about 50% of whatever I sell my item for.  I should have listed on Amazon but it just doesn't seem to get the traffic that Ebay does.  Freaking Ebay/PayPal...they're a bunch of thieves.

Richard - If you do business on or with Ebay/PayPal, apparently it's them trying to collect money you allegedly owe them.  Be prepared.
