Says he is from Windows and they have noticed "some bad errors your computer running slow last week.?"  Then "Are you interested having being foxed?"  (Thinking he meant fixed.).  I told him my computer died two weeks ago, which it had." Dead air, an intake of breath, then click!  Lol

Fake# - another East India/Persian scam to extort money from people & load viruses onto their computers.  When they call:
    1. Play along - they'll ask you to load their interface software onto your computer
    2. Tell them it's installed (lie)
    3. Say you're running it when the tell you to (lie)
    4. They'll ask you for a computer ID and password or logon # to get access to your computer
    5. Instead, DEMAND to get their computer's ID & password/logon # (they'll be confused, then refuse)
    6. Continue demanding to get their info, saying you need to logo onto their computer
    7. Morons will either hang up or pass you to their "supervisor"
    8. If a supervisor gets on the line - scream out loud out the most vile language and racial epitaphs possible

Received a call from this number on my cell phone today (on the Do Not Call List).  I didn't answer it since I don't answer calls from numbers/people I don't recognize.  No message.  I put this number on my "auto rejection" list.

SCAM - Received a call on my cell phone claiming to be a representative from Microsoft and had received notice of errors and viruses 2 days earlier showing that 45% of my computer's files were corrupted.  I pretended I could not understand what he was saying and asked if there was someone else I could speak with.  Another man equally unintelligible came on the line and repeated the same "script" as the former person.  I asked which computer this was and they said it was my Dell.  Funny thing, I don't own a Dell computer.  I told the gentleman that and he asked if he was speaking to the correct person and then gave my full name.  (They certainly have bought a list of numbers with names from somewhere.)  I reiterated multiple times that I do not own a Dell computer and he kept trying to get me to check my computer.  I finally told him that whatever problem was occurring was not affecting me but someone else and he hung up.

H e answered 7.  I told him that i run Linux Ubuntu and therefore he was talking bull***t!  He hung up.

Received a call on my cell phone claiming to be a representative from Microsoft and checking for abc person (They don't know my name aswell), I have told you reached wrong number, then they try to convince that its an emergency and  my information about name may be not correct, but we have reached correct person. Then he is saying they had received notice of errors and showing that 50% of my computer's files were effected by some type of critical virus.  I told the gentleman that I'm an IT person, i know how to fix viruses, he says he is only one can fix the computer and try to launch a website, i hung up.

They called us 15 min ago, saying they were with MS, that our pc was not installing updates, and then tried to get me to install code in it! First there was one (East) Indian female, then another, and finally a "supervisor" (also in/from India). After hanging up on them, we checked our updates. There was only one ms update waiting, and it installed fine!  Anyway, we hung up on them. (My only question is, why doesn't the NSA spend a few bucks tracking down these cretins, and maybe put some creepy malware in their systems to crash them? That would be easy for them, and a "public service"  project few could complain about!)

Just got a call on my cell; Indian accented man said he is calling from Microsoft and that my computer is giving some very critical warnings to their servers. He wanted me to get in front of my computer; I said I was no where near a computer and asked how I could call him back. He hung up.

Get calls from this number often ~ Callers seem to be from India or Pakistan, claiming to be with Microsoft.  This one declared that he got a 'frightening' report that our Windows operating system is compromised with viruses in over 45% of the applications and he is calling to remove them.  I told him that I had run malware/anti-virus programs just days ago (which I had) and eliminated any such issues.  He then told me that my actions only removed what I see on the screen....that the damage was getting in via the back of my computer monitor every time I access the internet.  Seriously, who writes their scripts?  He wanted me to go online so he could 'accompany' and walk me through software via his computer station to correct this horrible situation.  I said absolutely not.  He asked what specific sites I access so that he could check which ones might have left me vulnerable to this cyber attack.  I figured one good lie deserves another so I told him we normally interact with law enforcement sites like local and state police, federal agencies, etc.  He hung up so fast, I'm concerned that he might have injured himself.  I shall inquire as to his health the next time they call me.

Received scam caller from (209)-631-2059 AT&T Mobile in Merced, CA with (California on Caller ID) & didn't leave a message on voicemail & my phone in unlisted - since unwanted scammer called two different times on Wed. 12/3/14 at 2:53pm & Fri 12/5/14 at 8:59am - I never answer to unscrupulous scammers & reported to DONOTCALL.GOV - Message to scammers: DO NOT CALL. In December 2011 I received email about computer problems with a similar phone call & actually had my computer corrupted with a virus & hacked down to the "motherboard" because I was using "free" anti-virus & had to buy a new computer in January 2012 & "buy" more anti-virus (I was told to never use "free" anti-virus since the hackers know how to hack it).

Wednesday 11 March 2015 -- 11:27 am -- Caller ID said "unknown name".  Caller left a short message of 3 or 4 words which sounded like another language, then hung up.  Many internet complaints say this caller claims to be MS Windows tech support.  Spam nuisance caller.  Do not pick up.

I just got a call from 209-631-2059 and a man with an Indian/Pakistani accent tells me he is calling from Windows support and that my computer is reporting errors caused by a current virus.  He asked me to turn my computer on and then he gave me a number of 888DCA60FC0A11CF8F0F00C04FD7D062 and said that I would find it on my keyboard.  When I told him I didn't have a number on my keyboard he was very upset.  I asked him his name and he said his name is Max Dawson.  He then hung up on me.  I just googled his phone number and found this site.
