This number showed up on caller ID; didn't recognize it, so didn't answer. No message left.

This number called. said my computer was infected and needed to be scanned and cleaned to get rid of virus; they would help me do it.   I asked how they knew it was on my computer and he hung up.

This number showed up on my caller ID but didn't answer it.  Got a call from this number last week, answered it, they said my computer was infected, I told him "That's nice"....then I hung up!

Some guy with an Indian accent called, could not understand his name or company name asked me how I was and said my computer was infected.  So I played along then I asked him the name of his company and he said, it's not my company then I said to him, yeah cause you are a scam artist and he hung up.

Scammers!! What a joke. VOIP line probably out of servers in Angel Ca. Could be through the internet all the way from India...

Why they calling me?

Received call from this number on my unlisted phone. Did not recognize number on caller ID, did not answer. No message   Checked Whocallsme.com for reports. The caller type keeps calling about every 3 mos; caller ID number is different. Thanks to others who report SCAM.

I got a call saying my computer was infected with viruses and needed me to get on my computer so they could help me fix the problem. No way! It came up under Angel's Camp CA

I told them smoke was coming out of my computer to send help and kept repeating it until they hung up

This number continues to call me stating that something is wrong with my computer and that they have been detecting problems, I am tired of unknown numbers continue to calling like this for information to hack my computer and I wish the someone would do something about this come on FTC this is wrong.

Got this call at 5am this morning. Did not make it to the phone in time and they hung up.  Did not recornige the number, but I have a lot of friends in that area code, so i called it back.  A recording told me that it was a disconnected number, so i knew it was a scammer.  They called again at 6am and I just ignored it.  When my message machine came on they just  hung up again  Tjuey called again at 7am. Then the same hang up  Hope they got tired and quit!

209-753-4588 called me. I answered and the person with the foreign accent on the line told me he was calling from "Windows" about my computer problems. I told him that had contacted anyone about any computer problems and he panicked and hung up. The name that showed up on my caller ID along with the number above was "Angels Camp, CA"

when i answered the call a male voice said something I couldn't understand and then hung up.

ref. number 209-753-4588. Once again Card Member Services are calling using blind phone numbers. If you call the number back it is a number that is not in service. These people are scammers. DO NOT give them ANY credit card information. This last time they called I asked them what they could do for me, to see what they said. I guess I asked one too many questions as they got mad and said, "Well if you want to pay higher interest rates you go right ahead" ... then they hung up. tsk tsk. Because they use blind or spoofed numbers it is difficult for the "authorities" to track them down. This particular party that called said he was from Orlando, Fl. and his name was Robert Bristol. Funny how this number is a CA number. I see many of the responders on this site received calls from this number and the caller used the infected computer scam-line. I've had them call also. I told the called he was full of crap and hung up. He called me back and ever so nicely told me to F*** off for hanging up on him.

They are calling you to scam you. We have been on that no call registry from the start but we still get calls. These people are pretending they are from Windows and say that they can see you have been downloading spyware. How ANYONE falls for that is beyond my understanding.

SUPPOSEDLY calling from Angels Camp, California. I have no idea if they actually are offshore. This is a tech support scam - the man pretended he was from "Windows" and could "see that we have been downloading spyware."

What a shame "scam" isn't available in the dropdown under "Call Type" on this form.

SCAM ALERT!!!!! Scam artists!! They said our computer has a virus or spyware. I played along and they gave me these key to press on my computer, I wrote down the instructions but did not preform it on the computer, not sure if they will give me a code to type to access my computer. So I did not type, the instructions. I was just trying to see how far they go, and their methods. Anyway, I asked for the company name and phone number. When I asked how they know our computer is infected, they said the company is called, "Angels camp" and our computer license is registered with them, they said they were alerted of a spyware on our computer 2days a go.

They keep calling telling me computer is infected.  Told them nothing is wrong with it.  Claims my computer told the thru messages that is infected.  I said my computer isnt infected & hung up on him.
