Left no message, scammer again.

9/12/2014 - Caller ID said "TEST" with the following phone number 209.782.8675.
Call disconnected before ans machine picked up. No message was left.

Yet another offer to lower the interest rates on my credit cards.  Sigh.

Be careful. These people are not debt collectors. This is a gang of scammers. They try to collect all your personal information. They use different phones and different technics. They have already cheated lots of innocent people. They pose as an IRS Agent, Debt collector or Medical equipment seller or Credit card . Never pay on phone. Confirm with your IRS office or UTILITY or whatever Name they tell. These people will drain your money from your bank account. Do not be afraid. Hang the phone and call police.

Credit card interest reduction.

CID said LOCAL, message was about lowering int rates on all credit cards, final notice. Clearly a scam

CID says from "LOCAL" not "Test" in my case, but the area code is from Jamestown, CA; Google and find all scam reports.  They try to mislead people by spoofing the CID.

I asked the Indian Accented person who he was, he said he works with master card, visa etc. I asked to be removed from the list he simply disconnected and I got a busy signal!  

I told the person "congratulations you're a loser" and hung up.  Got a call back from # 786-456-9512 25 times in a half hour and 2 messages with the words "[***]" and the "F" word.  Called the owner of the number and got "this number is no longer in service".

We do not pick up on unknown calls, and no message was left.  We're in Ohio, CID read "Local," but a Google search showed the call originated from California.  

got this call today.  don't answer unknown #s.  no message.  thank you for your site to be able to report this.

Include the phone number 650-262-1221.

They call often 2 or more per week; usually credit card interest scam.  Hung up this am.  

No one in the posting section gave any good info about stopping or reporting them.  Can't report them to the local police (Yuh...)

209-782-8675 called twice back to back within one minute. I didn't answer, no message left.

Got the "Local" with the 209-782-8675 number.Picked it up. No answer. (I got it at work, so I have to answer the phone). Hate these calls. I have found one way to get them to leave me alone when I get these types of calls, whether on my cell or work phone. I just keep hitting 0 until they hang up. Doesn't always work on some automated, but generally don't have to worry about a call back. It's when you engage with these scammers that they harass you. Thank God for CID.
