This company had no name they just left a mess. on my phone saying that I needed to contact that day or good luck in court.  They said that I was charge with 3 felony counts of fraud.  They said I needed to appear in court with in two days in Cali. I live in GA(lol), anyway I thought they was for real then they said I applied for a cash advance loan in 2009 and I used my Wachovia in the amount of $350.  First of all, a felony charge is any amount over $500, second I never asked for any loan, and third I never had an account with that bank.

Then I gave them my lawyers info and now all of a sudden they could not pull up my account and tell me anything about my case, court date or anything.  These guys are a joke.  And I think this is an Internet phone number.  And they hung up on me twice when I started asking questions about them.

Just got the same type of call.  Said his name was John Wilson and worked for the Brown Law offices.  Sounded like he just got off the midnight redeye from Mumbai.  Said the sheriff would come and get me tomorrow if I didn't settle this debt now for $465.00.  I told him I would see them in court.

I keep getting calls from this man name Edward lee from brown law firm saying that I got a check advance from cash America. He says I have three felony warrants for me cuz I didn't pay it bck. I never got a advance from them and I have the proof!!!! Please watch out for these people they are trying to get money from people!!!!!! He can kiss my butt cuz I'm not giving him anything!! I don't have a loan from anybody!!!!!

These people change their names and business names every day. Including their phone numbers. This same man has been also calling my work and phone and identifies himself as Officer John Reed or maybe Creed. I can't understand the idiot very well and said that I should call him the very second I get this message, that there is a complaint against me and that I am in serious trouble with the law. I have reported these people to the FTC and my State Atty. General's Office. I am so tired of these people calling me. This is nothing but a big scam and unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about them except continue to ignore the calls, don't respond to them. The secretary at my States Atty. General's Office said she was even getting these calls and at work too. I mean, these people are stupid, don't send them any money, no one is coming after you. Put an alert on your credit report, this is free. I even called them back told them to kiss my a** and gave them my Atty's number and they will not call them. My attorney even called them and told them to quit calling me and they tried to argue with him. He laughed at them and hung up after a few choice words. They are a scam and call your State Attorney General's Office or the Consumer Protection Office at 18002814418 or the FTC (Federal Trade Consumers Office) at 18773824357 to report them every time they call you. And these scammers have alot of different numbers and use a different one every time they call. Never give them any information. I know I am not supposed to hate anyone my I am really on the verge of hating them

John from "Law Brown Office" called me on my cell stating I owed $795 for a cash loan with advance america.  I asked if I could have the phone number to this loan place and he advised that he could not give me that information. He told me someone will be at my job to arrest me and even went as far as to telling me he would get me fired.  I am calling the number @PissedOff gave in the comment earlier.....this is a scam, i have know idea who these people are.

I have been getting harassed by some men of middle eastern decent over the phone saying that I have taking out a payday loan with a company and have defaulted on it.  These men are very mean.  They threaten to have me arrested if I don't pay them a certain amount of money.  They even call my place of work.  Then change their names and numbers and place of business on a daily basis.  I have reported this to the FTC and my state attorney's office as well as my own personal attorney.  They used very "american" names Thomas, Christopher, John ,Daniel White, Davy Jones, Raymond Scott and many more, using the Woods Law Firm and others.  They say they are an officer of the law.  I told them I was going to report this to the FBI and they told me that they had the FBI on their payroll.  I am listing several numbers that I have received calls from recently:  201-297-4316,530-554-4551,702-737-9500, 786-275-5039,713-559-1757, 856-120-7296, 213-995-3006, 347-470-5671, 422-124-4567, 209-812-2277, 347-426-2691, 424-901-1197, 701-217-1089, 513-322-3860, 513-878-3692, 3222774892, 513-878-4936, 305-7849-5591.  I am sure that they have used other numbers also.  This is very ridiculous and very bothersome.  They must think I am stupid or something, after a while I started to believe them.  The first time I did pay a total of $600 to Raymond Scott by MoneyGram, then I realized that it was a scam and refuse to pay these crazy people anymore money.  I lost $600 and will never see it again and that is money I could not afford to lose.  I have recently had to file bankruptcy and I am still getting this phone calls.  I just want these people to be stopped.  I am going to get my phone number changed and thank goodness the secretary where I work is very understanding and Has began to tell them I no longer work for them.  I am a school teacher and I don't have time for this stuff.  Please I am asking for this to be stopped.  It is driving me crazy.  I hope people take action against these "men" if they are ever found.  I know I will if I ever find out who they are, but they are probably not even in the states.  Just using computer numbers. I go on the websites about this scams and let people know what steps I have taken and have been advised to take.

These foreigners continue to call my phone around the clock. They are saying that i am in trouble with the law and that i owe money. This is not true. They have even cursed me out which is very rude and unprofessional for someone who claims to be an "officer". i want this to stop. these people have no right doing this. I want to sue. I have consulted a lawyer and am waiting for a consultation with him. if anyone gets any money then it will be me.

I just got the same message. I called it was the Brown Law firm answered by a person witch I could barely understand. Wanted my lawyer info. I told him I did not have one and to send me the info. He said he could not but would read it to me. He put me on hold and I waited about 5 min. and hung up.

this people just called me saying that i owe $1900 and that I have to go to court  or the police would come pick me up.  they even knew where i worked. I reported this to the police station in my county they said that all i can do is ignore the calls.. these guys are a joke. when i called them back i let them talk they said i had 3 felony charges against me. and that the money was deposited into my wachovia account in feb 2009 then i told him that thats not possible so he proceeded to tell me he said Feb 2011. I told him to hold on and i would check my online account.. then he hung up on me.

I've been receiving calls from this same number 209-812-2277 telling me that, I'll be arrested Monday morning, and they fed are coming to get me. They said that they deposited some money in my bank account with fsnb, and that I have 3 felonies against me. lol One even left a message on my phone talking about he's sick of me, and if I don't call back all he can do is wish me good luck. When I called them back  they read out a affidivat which didn't make any sense, and when I told them they had me confused, and need to quit playing on my phone. They immediately hung up the phone. Their trying to get peoples account information, and use it for their own purposes to withdraw money from peoples account. PLEASE DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY SAY, AND DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. THEY ARE FRAUD/SCAMMERS, AND THEY NEED TO BE PROSECUTED FOR THIS ASAP.

Just I had almost the EXACT same call as Daking414. Almost word for word. How do these people come up with our numbers? I never let the guy get as far as an amount, though he did ramble on about 3 fraud charges and a payday loan, blah, blah, blah. VERY rude man.

I told him he was full of ....it. And that he'd best send me this information in the mail if he wanted a response and since I knew I wouldn't receive anything that he'd best lose my phone number.

I just received the same telephone call at my place of employment, however, they are now stating that they are Attorney's John (something I could not understand his name).  When I asked him to spell his name for me he paused for what was bout 10 seconds then I told him what you have to look at your script to be able to spell your name for me?  I told him that he was a scam artist and that I was going to report him to the FTC and local police.  He told me that he has them on speed dial and that they know that he is calling me.  I told him that he was a joke and that I was not going to listen to anything else that he had to say and hung up.

He called right back did not ask for me but went right into a spill about he was going to have the police at my office and house to arrest me and drag me to court.  I told him good luck with that as it is illegal in our state to even threat to have someone arrested for a so called debt that he has no clue about and can't even spell his name.

He got mad and hung up on me.

Hi there this guy just told me that I had took out a payday loan from cash advanced america and he new that I had the lady from that office online and she was telling him that there's no such thing that she has a loan out. and he got mad and said that tomorrow at 11:00 am that the police will be at my door and arrest me because it's fraud and then he asked me have I ever did fraud and I told me never in my life and he said that I will have to go to cort and tell the judge

Hi there everyone that's going through the same thing that i am with these fake people they are calling me and chaging there voice and that's true someone need to go after them and put a stop to them . and have them locked up because there hasserong people like that and. I got the same phone call that said that if I don't return there call good luck also . And Now i'm calling them and doing the same thing. and the guy said why are you calling me i told him because you keep calling me and it  doesn't feel good do it and then he hung up on me. the numbers that theri calling me is 209-812-2277, and 1-612-454-7042, so if you guys get phone calls from people that has a different  languaghe and can't speak right or clear or fast you know that there scam. and check in to it.

My son received a phone saying that he would be put in jail because of a pay day loan fraud. They got his information off some internet applications he had sent out for cash advances. The man that left the message said he was an Officer with some fraud detection company in California. We got a big scare about this as they threatened to call my son's job. I called the phone company and they told me that this was a scam. I know it was because the bank account he gave them is now closed and he never received any money. Everyone please beware of these people as they are really rude on the phone when you start asking them questions about proof. Also the phone number doesn't stay connected as we try to call back around 7pm and got nothing but dead air space on the phone.

This is a fraud. This firm has access to personal information from some lending company and tries to convince people they have committed some kind of banking fraud. I was referred by the FBI to a White-collar crime site online: www.ic3.gov
