Got 3 different calls from IRS filing law suite against must call and find out about it all gave this number as call back #. It traces to a Cal number in the middle of nowhere. Scam Don't call it......

Someone claiming that they are from the IRS called me from 209-813-0138 and demanded I pay back taxes from 2006 to them or my drivers license will get suspended and/or a warrant will be issued for my arrest for tax fraud.  They said that they would call me back tomorrow at 1pm and that I must be at a bank to get ready to wire them some money.  I said yeah ok please do that.  People are really that stupid to try and pull a scam like this and people are really that stupid to fall for it.  I love pulling their strings as well telling them I will comply.  Tomorrow shall be fun when they call me back!

Got the same message. It's a scam. The IRS will never call you!

They left a message about being the is and that I owe back taxes. Called the police and it is a scam.

I just received a call from a NY phone number on my caller ID that read 1-631-581-9211.  It was a recorded message that said that the IRS was suing me and that I needed to contact them immediately at 209-813-0138.

I called back the NY number and it is not in service.  I called the 209 number and a gentlemen answered the phone as Gary Smith from the Internal Revenue Service, how may I help you.  I said, "this in not the Internal Revenue Service and I have contacted the FTC to report suspicious activity."  He did not give me the courtesy to rebut my claim and he just hung up.

My caller ID said AUSTIN. When I answered I got automated message saying this is my final message. IRS is filing law suit against me.
IRS does not call. They mail to you. SCAM!!

Multiple messages from 209-813-0138

Call from 630/933-9463 (wheaton, IL) to my work phone, and let me call back 209,823,0138. The guys who answered the call was "IRS office Kevin Johnson" with think Indian accent. He "pulled" case number and said it is for a person I have never heard of. Scam, that's all I can say.

Got a call from Kevin Johnson  # HN2050928 about taxes owed. When I said I would persue this in court....they paused. Asked again if I wanted to settle out of court for 2900$. I then was transferred to Adam Martin #D141079. This was the supervisor. I then asked him if I was really just supposed to give him $2900 based on this phone call alone. No mail correspondence from the IRS...nothing.  He said "Yes".  I then asked him...how many people fall for this??  He hung up.  SCAM!

Got a message stating it was the irs and it was my final notice they were filing a lawsuit against me and to call asap. They didn't even say who the message was for...

DO not call back!!!!!

This is a scam to get your social security number, etc.

The internal revenue will not call you!!!! . Ever.   ,,,,    They send registered mail that you ha e to sign for. and if you really ignore them  an agent will come to your house showing identification

I got the same recorded message today from 630.859.9364 to call the number above.
It would be nice if the FCC would work on shutting these creeps down.

I got a call this morning from this number, saying that the IRS was
going to file a lawsuit against me!

I called back the first time with no answer...very suspicious.
I called again and got an Indian guy directly (not a generic "you have called
the IRS, how may I direct your call" type of message).

From what I know, the IRS sends registered mail when they want to
contact you. I have gotten these types of letters before. I have never
gotten a phone call from the IRS. I don't think that they do that.
If you call them, expect to be on "hold" for 30 minutes or more!

The IRS doesn't file lawsuits. They have vast authority to seize your
assets without a formal lawsuit. The terminology and procedure
was completely wrong.

Very scary, but I think that this is a scam.

I received a call from someone stating that the IRS is filling a lawsuit against me; I needed to call 209-0813-0138. I called that number but no answer. I am glad to read that this is a scam. I was beginning to panic!

Yep.  Scam.  Same message here.  We are in Cincinnati, Ohio.  These people are idiots.  I hope no one really falls for ths.

I also just got a phone call, but i didnt pick up, from a 845 area code in NY
Then same thing, voicemal about IRS lawsuit, blah blah blah, then i wrote down the 209-813-0138 number and googled it, and of course everyone says is a scam, is true IRS WILL NEVER  call people, everything is in writing....dont fall for this!

At 9:01 AM, today, Thursday, March 5, 2015, I got a call from 818-890-6843 to call this number,  209 813-0138, because the IRS is going to file a lawsuit against me. Glad I thought to google both these phone numbers. Quite something to find out this scam has been such an active one this week.

I got called today with the same message saying it was the IRS and it was their final attempt in trying to contact me about a lawsuit.  Glad I was able to google the number 209-823-0138 and confirm it was a scam.  So sad that people actually fall for this.

Got the same call.  Won't call them back.  Always do  reverse look up before calling someone.
