Craigs List Scam - After posting an ad

Please note 'United Parcel Service' do not deliver to P.O.Box
addresses and i will not be  mailing a draft to one.My mover will be
coming over for the pick up right only after the payment as been
delivered.Kindly delete the posting as am totally committed to buying
from you to save cost,Here is my phone number if i dont pick up leave

This is a scam.  Do not give any of your info.  I got this from a Craigslist ad I put out and I got the same message.

I just got the same person from a item I listed on Craigslist.

Its a scam
He sends you a check for more than item costs, then expects you to send him the difference.
I make him send me the check and turn it over to the Secret Service.

Its a SCAM
He will send you a PHONEY Cashiers check for more than your asking price and expects you to send him the difference.
Make him send you the check tell him you never received it (REALLY PISSES HIM OFF) and hand it over to the Secret Service.

If everybody makes him send them a check it cost him money.

dont know if this is the same person, but sound like it. my gf was looking for jobs and she came across this type of scam guy sent her the cashier check and she cashed it before i could make it home to look at it. i been searching this guys info and going to report to what ever i can, we didnt spend any of the money thank god.

p.s went by the names, mack lennon, and sends letter by dawn jordan 145th st. jamaica, ny 11436

First he emailed me from ngnriuye@gmail.com in response to my ad on craigslist saying,

"Still in good condition??

I replied that it was, and the next day he emails me from bj10503@gmail.com saying this,

I called the number, and it said that that MajicJack number was not yet assigned. Then it went right into another automated message from verizon saying that the number had been changed or disconnected. Very fishy.

Don't deal with this scammer!!! Deal only locally with cash and face-to-face meetings!!!

BEWARE OF THIS SCAMMER!!!!

I received several emails (September 2012)  re a CraigsList item I'm selling  from someone from this email account (companyuseonlyfalcon@gmail.com), too.  He/she now goes by the name, "Patricia Cole."  Initially "she" said she wouldn't be in town because she was visiting family out of state.  The next email stated "she" was on her honeymoon.  Both of her emails made references to God, and something to the effect that she is a God-fearing person.  I went along with it and had her send a "check" to someone who works for the State Department of Consumer Justice.  Of course, I got an email stating "she" purchases so much on CraigsList that her "secretary" made a huge error and wrote the check out for several hundred over the amount.  She wants me to send a check for the overpayment back to her ASAP. I have been ignoring her emails.  Her latest one actually stated that if she doesn't hear form me in six hours "she" will take action.

Also, at the same time I have been getting emails from patricia, I have been receiving virtually the same emails from someone named Kevin Slade (ksslade12@gmail.com).


I wish there was some way these people could be found and shut down.  This should be a reminder that if you are selling on CraigsList, only deal with cash payments and local pick-ups.
