Really? Verizon called to collect money you owe them? Every day, hundreds or thousands of people are behind on their bills, and Verizon calls every single one? Do you have [***] for brains?

I got the call right before Verizon sent a text message saying to pay the bill.

What is this number?

Verizon says it IS NOT associated with them. They suggested I immediately contact my bank. I had to close my account.

i keep getting phone calls from this number and according to the above notes it is Verizon.  I am not behind on my bill so why would they call?

Why would anyone take time out of their day to verbally assault someone inquiring an odd outsourced call?

This number is not from the Verizon financial service. It's a scam! They will ask for your information, your SS number, your cell phone IMEI number, etc. to pull up your account and then tell you they can't. They'll ask their supervisor to see if they can help and ask for more info and then tell you they're still unable to pull it up. They'll say they'll transfer your call another department that will be able to help you. In the end, they can't even transfer the call. Don't be fooled by them! Do not give them your information!

In the twenty plus years of being with Verizon the only time I ever got a call was when I underpaid my bill by 50 cents through a mistake. They hounded me for several weeks though automated messages and then charged me a $5.00 late charge and wouldn't take it off. I was never asked for any information. I'm with ATT now by the way.
