These people call me all the time, several times a day when I'm at work.  Recording says they're The Metro News.  They're annoying!  Need to be put out of business.  This company sells subscriptions to several national newspapers, but their businesses practices give the companies using them a very bad reputation.  Would not subscribe to any newspaper through a boiler plate call center rep.

No message just continue to receive calls from this number - week of December 2, 2007. I received this call while I was in India.

I have been called for several weeks now by this number at the worst times of the day, usually at the rack of dawn or past 7 at night. They never leave a message. I told em to stop calling me and that I am not interested in buying ANYTHING from somebody who calls before I can even get a cup of coffee!

Two calls this week from these guys. We answered the first one since I'm expecting to hear about a new job soon. It was someone selling the Dallas Morning News. Told him, "No thank you, please don't call again and remove us from your call list."

Yeah, that worked. They called the next day at 11:30 am.

Called and said with the Courier Journal newspaper confirming my address to send me absolutely free coupons.  I just had to confirm my address.  A yes or no.

I get a call from this number daily. I'm assuming it's my local paper (Louisville Courier-Journal) based on previous comments here. They're probably calling from San Antonio because the CJ is part of a syndicate that includes papers across the nation.

Why, though, am I getting these calls at all if I'm on the "Do Not Call" list?

these jokers keep calling my number, hanging up, calling back, etc.  They do NOT leave a message and I live in Ft Worth...I will be reporting them to fcc complaint

Call all the time. I'm on the Do Not Call list. Someone should put them out of business. Maybe we should pull some troops back from Iraq to deal with these telephone terrorists!

These guys are good! I got a VOIP with MagicJack ($20/yr!!), which forwards my voice mail to my designated email address as a .wav file.

So I got my first, of what may be many, calls from these clowns... I do give them credit for finding my number which I hardly use. They must use a random number generator.

haha @ those that signed on to an alleged "Do Not Call List". seriously, they're going to call, and them calling your cell phone is nothing more than a nuisance. (whereas some may think that telemarketers are not allowed to call cell phones, or have to stop calling you because of a list.)

Constantly recieving calls.  There were 6 today starting at 8 am.  This has been a constant for the last 2 weeks or so and they don't leave messages. Maybe this is why they can't sell anything.

I have recieved I don't know how many calls from this company. What is sad is I used to work for one of the papers they call for and would get calls at work asking me to buy the paper of the company I worked for.  They are real geniuses.

My ex-bf works at the location in San Antonio. He said that in order to be removed from the co's dnc list-the caller has to say it 2x in order for them to proceed to place ur # on the list. He stated that most would simply ask to be placed on the dnc list then hang up----which would result in no action. Best  bet-ask to speak to a sup=get name & employee id # and tell 'em to place ur # on the co's dnc list.***Hope this helps some.......

Repeated calls. When I called the number they answered Metro news service.

Keeps calling but wont leave a message. I dont know the number so I havent answered it.
