I got a call from that number also, let it ring so my answer machine could pick up and they hung up. I called the number and got a recording saying the number has been disconnected or I dialed wrong, well I didnt dial wrong and most likely telemarketer so I'll add it to my block list.

Just had a call from this number, in "San Antonio TX."  Yeah, more likely in Mumbai India or Sofia Bulgaria!  I didn't answer, the machine picked up & the caller disconnected without a word.  Classic signs of a scammer out phishing.  Does anyone know what these creeps are trying to sell/scam/steal?

Just got this call.  It is a scam where they are trying to tell you that some international group has reported that there is a problem with my computer.  They have some information but not all is correct and when I challenged them they hung up.

same thing.  Calls multiple times a week.  No message left, but triggers my answering machine nevertheless.  ANNOYING!

I spoke with AT&T they said many times it's scammers who have hi-jacked a number.  The perps hope we call the number back using *69 so they can run up alot of charges after hi-jacking the number.  The lesson is do not use *69 for this type call...check out this service or direct dial the number like we have done and then report it.  We are also able to report it to AT&T and the FTC.

I received a call from this number,  when the guy told me what this was about; I told him: this is a scam, I'm going to report this number: he immediately hang up.

just got this call saying it was something about my computer. I could barely understand the foreign person with all the noise from the boiler room activity in the background.  I gather from other posts elsewhere that this is a scammer trying to get access to my computer. Told him I was no the DNC list & that I was reporting them.

Just got a call from 210-737-8097. No one responded when I answered.  I'm on the Do Not Call list. Federal and State.  

Just got this call at 8 am. Called it back (dialed it and did not use *69) but the number was not in service (message said I didn't dial correctly but I did.)
I see that some people have identified this number as one that has been "hi-jacked." Too bad it can't be deleted somehow from the system.

This guy with a foreign accent called at 7:11pm to tell me my computer was sending out messages. I hung up. He called right back at 7:12pm and I asked what he wanted. He said my computer sending out messages. I asked who they were and in the process I took my mini foghorn and blew it into the phone.It is now 7:18pm and they haven't called back.  

You may want to invest in a foghorn. they seem to work well.  

I received a call from someone with an Indian accent telling me that the computer at this number was sending off error signals to the tower. "What tower?" I asked. He had no real answer. Anyway, he wanted me to sit down and execute something on my computer. He wanted me to go to a dos prompt by using a CMD command and run EVENTVWR. I wrote this down. Told him I wouldn't do it, and he hung up.  I suspect he really wasn't from ISECURVAP, and there wasn't anything wrong with my computer. Googled EVENTVWR and discovered there are folks using this to SCAM you. The ISECURVAP is a new twist on an old SCAM.

I also got a phone call from this number. It was a woman and she knew very well English.  All she said was hello hello and hanged up. She sounded american to me. I never answer 800 numbers to begin with or numbers i dont recognized. I record every person or company on my phone dictionary to be safe and if it shows up private even if its someone I know but has there number hidden  guess what! To bad. If they do not leave a message I dont return thire calls. I just figure its not that important right!. I already got my identity stolen twice. Be carefull out there.

Had my computer worked on this am by the Geek squad.  Thought it was a followup with them.
Company name is I secure VAT.
Found out that it was a scam co.

I've gotten one of these calls.
Someone with a foreign accent (sounds Asian, Indian or something). Asks if the owner of the home computer is there. Says that they are receiving messages from it and it indicates some kind of serious problem with my computer. They repeatedly ask that I go to my computer and log into a website and they are going to help me make the problem go away.  I pretty much told them they were crazy if they thought I was going to log in and turn remote access of my computer to them. I told him I know it's a scam and he kept denying it, assuring me he was only trying to help me and was getting an even more urgent tone to his demand that I log in to the site he was going to provide a URL for. So I just hung up

I got a call from this number and a guy with a very thick, hard to understand, Indian accent told me they had detected 100s of errors on my computer and he was going to help me fix them for nothing.  I asked what company he worked for and he said ISecureVap.  Then I asked how they had detected errors on my computer.  He just kept talking over me saying things like do you see a key on your keyboard that says CTRL.  I'm like oh mannn......So we conversed for about 5 more minutes with him giving me instructions that I wasn't doing and me telling him I would call the company and what was the phone number, over and over.  He finally got pissed and hung up.

Dec 2014 they called me, I check this site, thanks, for all the answers, I think we need congress to say if this is reported to ATT or sprint they don't cut it off, Sprint needs to pay us $100 for our time. Congress is Useless/

Called trying to help about a virus when how they got my info he hung up

Someone called me on a Saturday morning at 7:45 from 210-737-8097.  Of course, I was still in bed and did not answer.  Later I called the number back and it was a non-working number.  I'm on the national do not call list.  Why do I continue to receive these calls?
