Rec'd a call which sounded like it was from a call center in India, first of all they woke me up, I had been in bed, very ill for the previous 3 weeks therefore I was quite groggy, The first guy I talked to was very hard to understand due to his accent and my poor hearing, due to all the back ground noise, he was the first person who indicated they were connected to Microsoft and that I had all these errors on my system, told me the programs they were downloading were free, then wanted the registration fee. When I started questioning him about the fee he transferred me to his manager Simon Frank.
   The phone # 210-888-0671 was given to me by Simon Frank of Hawk Teck Live Services and www.teamviewer.com as the number to reach him at for tech support as one year free tech support was part of the package. I ask where he was located, he said Texas (also a lie) I was also given a toll free # 1-877-340-9240 after I was tricked into thinking they were connected to Microsoft and they showed me a lot of red & yellow marked errors on a report supposedly from  my computer, and that I could infect other systems, I let them download two programs (to fix my errors, speedup my pc, cleanup the register) that they said were free, after they did this, he then wanted to charge me $160.00 for the Licence Key or registration Number, I said I was a pensioner an couln't afford it so they only charged me $96.00 I did give them my credit card # But refused when Simon asked for the 3 didget # on the back of the card, this made me suspect something was wrong, I tried to phone Microsoft but couldn't through.
The next day I tried to call both phone numbers stated above, both were not in service.

I contacted microsoft directly and they are NOT affiliated with these people whatsoever.  Do not give them any info!

lady said she was from Microsoft/ ept insiiissint I open my computer so she could get it working better. I had answered her question re how microsoft was and i aid very slow but did not open access to my computer.
Anyideas as to who or whay the call would be most helpful.

i also got a call from no. and said my computer was just about to crash as my errors were coming into their system. they also said that my cpu was running at 100 % and no more memory to do anything else
they could fix it and when software was loaded my computer did seem to work better however my computer takes a long time to turn on and the wireless connection still show low signal strength.
i have cancelled my credit card. the next thing to do i suppose is to wipe my computer drives.

they are fraud scammers and much more

Just got a call from this # indicating that my computer is sending unwanted messages as i have Trojan. When i asked for th4e IP address they are talking about, they were not able to give me this information, but they did get my mailing address correct.. This is scary - and annoying!

I received a call from a person obviously out of India, who said his name was Steve Edward Jones.  He told me he was calling from Microsoft Tech Support and had received notices that I had many errors and was downloading viruses and it was urgent that I let them fix my computer.  They wanted remote access and I got suspicious, and took his number and hung up.  I looked it up and see they are obviously scammers.

They claimed to be from Microsoft and wanted to repair files with errors in them. They wanted credit card info.

i also got a call almost paid them money so i called mirosoft from cell phone and they heard the conversation lol i had 2 phones to my eaar one land line and 1 cell . they did freeze up my computer ,had to go to mirosoft and paid $150 for them to do a complete check up and re install everything all i can think of that i had been hacked .they to said they were from Microsoft teck support went so far in lower right hand corner had a icon that said Microsoft with a licences number . if Microsoft does not do somthing about this they should not be in business they are giving Microsoft a bad name .have  called mirosoft to see if they are going to do anything about this with no good answer shame on mirosoft gave mircosoft the phone number and the name of the person i talked with Alex Martin so be aware this is totally bs

i got the same phone call and they did freeze my computer up also called Microsoft and they are aware of the problem .even gave them the web address .if Microsoft does not do something shame on them

I received a call from someone with almost unintelligible accent this morning (1/21/2014) saying the same thing described on several sites giving a return phone number of: 210-888-9112--and when I Googled it found many postings regarding a scam. I thought it was so decided to report it.
He wanted to take control of my computer and I hung up.

I received a call from this number, it was nothing but static, I said "hello" 3 times, they hung up.

Got a call at work and home. After calling the home number my mother answered the phone and the caller stated to my mother that I was in trouble. The individual wanted my mother to give her information about me and threaten her.
