I got a call from 1-210-893-5553 once about a month ago and then just today May 6th 2011, The guy on the phone had a Heavy Indian accent, They told me they were a collection agency trying to get money from me that was sent to my bank account, i looked at my account and no money had ever been deposited, they then told me if i didn't pay back the money i would be sued. I then told them to go ahead and file the lawsuit and that i would see them in court. So today they called and asked if i wanted to settle out of court with a payment to them. Of course i said no and told them to file the court papers.. The next line from the guy was "ok we are filing the papers to day, your social security #  will be blocked by the governement,,  your bank "my bank account" will be placed on hold.. some more hard to understand stuff.. and that i will need to appear in court Monday morning.. .. Now seeing as they're filing today,, it takes a while for the papers to get to court.. be given a court date and then sent to me so i may contest or appear... They do have my address, social security #, bank information and my work information as well.

I got a call from (210)893-5553 from a man with a thick Indian accent asking for me. I told him that "Paul" no longer had this number and he just hung up.

They told me they were calling in regards to a lawsuit filed against me. Then stated they were a police officer. Many times they have called and when they said that i asked for a badge number etc and theyd hang up now when they call they have a suppose badge number. they kept cussing and threating that they were going to "screw me" if i didnt give them the information they wanted.

i filed a complain with the FBI and im about the file a complain with the police.

also when i tried to call back it said the number was not in service...

these people are pathetic

Keeps calling and calling and calling, ever since I applied for an auto loan via "Lending Tree." (Worst mistake I ever made.) Thick Indian accent, sounds like he's standing in the middle of Time Square (heavy foot traffic and vehicle noise in background). I downloaded an app to my smart phone called "Mr. Phone" and programmed it to block suspected spam/blocked/private numbers, and voila! THAT was one of the numbers.

I got a call from a "Randy Cooper" with a heavy indian accent, I kept having to tell him I couldn't understand him. He claimed to be calling from AIG. He said I was approved for a car loan and his supervisor would call the following business day. They sure got me... I desperately need a car loan and I didn't even think twice... safe to say I am a fool. Called Equifax to put up a fraud alert on my credit report.

DON'T EVER GIVE PERSONAL INFO OVER THE PHONE!!!!!!!!

They called me the other morning - "Indian Accent" as well... said they were from the States Attorneys office investigating a crime against me for using false info to obtain a loan!! The scary part of it is that they knew the name of my lender!! NOTHING is safe online these days, who knows how they got my account info. I did a reverse lookup on them while they were on the phone and found out they are using a scam phone number. I told them I was on to them - they hung up immediately.  But while I had them on the phone I was able to extract other info from them which I reported to my lender and the FTC. My lender said they have had scam trouble with them and have an FBI investigation out to find them. So BE AWARE OUT THERE FOLKS... these guys have hacked their way into various company client account info somehow and are using it. Please protect your elders from this type of crime - they are the most vulnerable...and those guys are ruthless!

I have been getting calls from this number everyday for the last 4 days now and just this morning I got one at 5:30am. The caller ID on my iphone say the number is coming from Texas USA I haven't answered the phone yet do to not knowing or expecting a call from this area nor have they left me a message I traced the call on google and this site came up with about ten others like it.

I got a call for the last 3days. it all started when i aplliade for a car loan, and when i did that the call started to come in... the guy insisted on me verifing my full social, he got mad and curse me out when i told him ill give him my last 4...

I have gotten many calls from this number always a man with a thick Indian Accent says his name is Aaron Sullivan tells me I have been approved for a loan of up to 1,5000 all I need to do is verify a few things and the money will be sent to my bank account within a few hours. Once I tell him I am not looking for a loan he just hangs up on me.  They just keep calling and calling and everytime he has another line for me last time it was I owed money for a loan and needed to pay it back by 5PM for they would be filing paperwork with the courts the next day I told him to go ahead that I knew that he was full of crap and that I had been recording his call for days so I could turn it over to the FBI and he hung up and I have not gotten a call again from this number but, I have gotten more from other numbers.  I dont know how these people do it.

Indian stated he was with US Auto Finance and I was approved for $ 20,000.00 auto loan. I told them promptly that I never applied for a loan and "BYE". Hung up without their interruptions or explanation. US Auto Finance is based out of Atlanta, GA and serving Atlanta, GA only. I am located in CA.

i also applied for a re-fi auto loan through wells fargo (used to be wachovia loan wells bought it out), i think this is the connection to this scam.  i would like to thank my bank!

Got this same call, Indian accent, asking for my mother. I always look up phone numbers before answering these days just for this reason. He wound up calling 8 times back to back wouldn't even talk to me, kept asking for my mother and continued to yell at me and asked me for my name without even giving his. Finally he got the message and stopped calling for now.

I got a call from 210 -893-5553, I didn't answer, they called twice.  Well, I Googled the number and looks like they have been calling a lot of people!   I haven't spoke to them, but if I do......   I am armed with the information I got on this website.   So, we need to do something about this situation.   I will followup on this in my own way, and these folks better prepare themselves.   Because if they call me again I will go to there house, and speak with them personally.   As a group, we can find any body.... all we have to do is locate these people, then they are done.   So, please if you have the resources and time, "Take Care Of This".  Let them see, we are not as stupid as they think, and we're not going to let any one take advantage of us.

WOW! in the process of buying a car and these people just called me! I didn't answer. I always google numbers that seem bizarre to me. And wouldn't you know....HA! These scammers think that they are slick. Thanks to All for making me aware.....Hopefully more people take the initiative and look into these scams out there and think twice before answering unknown numbers and giving out personal information.

I have received calls from these people except that they use to call from a 000 number and unfortunatley i had pulled out a couple of online loans and thought maybe i had overlooked one and did not pay.  And they got me twice i paid almost 1800.00 to these people because they really scared the crap out of me with the threats they gave. Once I paid them they said they would send me documentation showing this was paid off...well to this date I have never seen that documentation and the idiots keep on calling me and i know I don't have any loans outstanding.  They are indeed very rude if you argue with them.  They definitely need to be stopped.  I do love their American names but can barely speak english.

I got the call from this number. They said they are from walmart shoping mall. Bla Blaaa. These people are really ----. They asked about my personal details. I googled this number. Thanks for this page who created it.

I got a call from this number today 8 Aug 2011 and Indian accent person said he is from 'New College' and i have registered there. He started advising nausance to study further and providing non sense information.

He inquired about my residency status in US and i know he his SPAM, I am Indian also. I old him to [***] off and he got scared and disconnected.

Indians are basically cowards: Just say - Let me record the conversation.

He will disconnect.

This heavy Indian accented rude man calls my house 4 times in a row everyday.  I also got a call at 6:50am way before the legal 8am hour to call.  He wants me to give him or verify my SS# and he doesnt listen when I try to ask him questions and once he hung up on me.  I told him if he keeps harassing me I'm going to sue his company.  I need to find out what the name of this company is so I can write and fax them a hard nose letter about this.  I'm sick of it!

They call 2 or 3 times a day but since it is an unknown number to me I don't answer. they never leave a message either and I don't have a personal outgoing message so they don't know (and neither do I) if I am who they are looking for. I don't care to know what they want since they don't care to leave a message. However, it is annoying for someone to continue to call day in and day out when you don't answer or return their calls. it is considered harassment whether you talk to them or not.

I've been getting calls from these people for over a year.  They're in India.  That's how they can avoid all US laws.

If I were you, I don't think I'd bother trying to go to their house, but good luck with that.
