- Rich PascoI got a call early this morning, woke me up from a sound sleep, from a fast-talking stockbroker salesman from Adams Wealth Management: http://adamswm.com/about-us
I asked how he got my number and he said his "research team" found it. I asked him if he was aware of the US Federal Trade Commission's Do Not Call registry, since I was on it. He said no.

- KourteneyCaller ID lists: Adams Wealth Management 212-400-4831. The man asks for the owner of the company, once you ask who is calling he tells you that they will know and to tell the person in charge that it's the "fat chick at the end of the bar". If you put them on hold and pick back up he says "what? are you treating me like the fat chick at the end of the bar?" and then hangs up... Obviously a telemarketer pretending to be someone they are not... LAME

- AndiCall from very "salesy" American who informs me that his name is Anthony and he works for Adams Wealth Management. He sounds like an over-the-top American radio DJ and won't stop talking.
I tell him that I am not interested in anything he has to offer (if I'm going to get an investment broker I'm going to go looking for one, do my homework and pick someone I trust, not just use the first obnoxious loudmouth that harasses me transatlantically).
Despite my constant objections "Anthony" insists on interrupting me, talking over me, and at some points even shouting at me. I ask him to stop talking so I can tell him I have no interest and he wasting his time, but he just keeps jabbering, so I hung up. So far he hasn't called back.
Google searches reveal that they have a website, but there's is something "scammy" feeling about the whole thing!- Caller: Adams Wealth Management

- DOUGTwo calls within the last week on my UK cellphone from this US number, aggressive sharepushers claiming on the first call to have got my info from a Dun and Bradstreet report showing me as a director of a US company (which I was but not since 2008) so I asked him to remove my details; and on the second occasion that I had had a conversation some time previously and they had sent me some hot tip which frankly I cannot remember. So again I asked for my details to be deleted, which I only achieved by talking over him more than he wanted to talk over me. In either case it would have been a cold call of the sort which is illegal in the UK but which neither the US DO NOT CALL website nor the UK equivalent seems to have any powers over.
They announced themselves as MEARS AND ASSOCIATES but I did not push them for then FINRA registration number as I will if they are daft enough to call again.- Caller: Mears and Associates (?)

- Douglas MoffittI was cold called on my UK cellphone from Adams Wealth Management asking how I would "prefer" to be sent some informative material about them. This is code for wanting me to invest via them. After telling the salesman 3 times I just wanted my details removed from their database, overriding his "understanding my hesitation" and assertions that he "assumed I would like to make a lot of money" I was eventually forced to put the phone down as he was obviously so thick skinned and/or stupid he would not take no for an answer.
It is interesting these people (they are not the only ones) seem to concentrate on NON US numbers they can get hold of (I know the source for my listing -- I used to be a director of a US subsidiary of my UK company, but that was 5 years ago!!) because if we were in the US we could get our US numbers blocked. But the US agency has no control over calls to foreign numbers, and the UK authorities seem equally powerless to act against such cold calling, which is illegal for a UK firm to do.- Caller: Adams Wealth Management
