Received a call from 212-643-7541 on 11Feb2012, Caller ID: "Merchant,Networ". No one was there, when I answered. It might be a spoofed number.

the call i received from this number was a recorded woman's voice pitching a "credit card account."  her statement included "press 9 to speak with an agent" and i hung up.  the caller i.d. did not identify a company name but did indicate new york as the origin of the call.  the call was deceptive in saying "we are calling about your credit card account.  there is no problem with your account, and this is not a sales call."  obviously, they were NOT calling about my credit card account and WERE calling to sell me something.  no bank or organization was identified.

I just got a call from them no answer i just let my anwering machine take care of it.If it is from a credit card company that is pretty good considering I don't have a credit card.

This number is a scam!!!!! Don't give them any of your personal info!!! They say there calling in reference to your good standing credit card...

What is Merchant Network?

This is a credit card call to lower interest rates.  I at least press 9 and set the phone down so they have to answer it and it wastes thier time like it wastes mytime

It would be wasting my time since I don't own a credit card.I don't answer the phone anyway unless I know who is calling me.Most likely it is a sam when they don't answer back.
