- Hawk| 3 repliesJust had a call from someone who spoke in broken English & told me he was calling from Microsoft. When I told him Microsoft did not call Customers, he said he was calling from Windows. Who the hell does he think owns Windows?
- Caller: Unknown
- daisy replies to HawkThe guy just called me and told me he was calling from Windows and that he was receiving a critical error from my computer...that it was being logged into a World Wide system computer. He said that he had some easy steps that he needed for me to do on the keyboard. I asked him what type of error it was that he was receiving so that I could discuss it with our IT department. He said "never mind" and then hung up on me.
- DianeI to just got a call saying the same as what Daisy reported. I told him he was full of sh*t. I asked him if he was talking about my PC. He said yes....windows. I then again told him he was full of sh*t, that I have a Mac. He told me I was bullish*t and hung up on me. I have been getting calls from this number for a week now, and every time I tried to answer, no one was there. Today is the first time I was able to talk to someone.
- DebbieI had this same issue with this same number calling - this is a very scarey bit of information when he said my computer is transmitting messages to them that my computer has a virus.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- martySome indian guy called me the same BS about my computer sending them error messages. I told him how stupid this was cause I don't have a computer. I asked him to take my name and number off their list. He said. And I quote "I keep calling you."I several times. Then hung up. Can anyone tell me where this call center is so I can burn the building down? [***] these people.
- Caller: microsftwindowstechteam

- Guilajust got a call from this number. They've called before - I've just let it ring.
The guy said he was calling from Microsoft regarding error messages and that my computer was about to crash.
I started asking him a bunch of questions that he couldn't answer - when I asked him exactly what was the problem he said a "hidden" infection in my computer. That it was not a virus but an infection - Huh?? I told him I was busy and was going to hang up. He was awfully persistent - I should have hung up immediately after the first few words were out of his mouth but I was curious as to where he was going with it. He was totally scripted.
Finally I just said I'll contact my technical consultant thank you goodbye.- Caller: Microsoft Windows Technical Dept. according to caller
- JennI looked up this number because we received three calls from it today. The Caller ID read Bell James, and we assumed it was a telemarketer. Glad no one answered it, the last thing I want to do is serve as entertainment for someone with way too much time on their hands.
- chrislike Jen I got a call from them today, same person. Called the number back and it gives you three tone not in service that is obviously recorded.
- KristiHave been getting calls from 212-777-3032. Answered and a gentleman with a heavy Indian accent said he was from Microsoft Technical Support. Said my computer was infected with a virus and was sending error reports. I told him that I did not accept blind calls from someone I didn't know and that I had a son in the business and would have him fix my computer. Also told him to never call my number again and hung up on him.
This has been reported as a scam on the Microsoft network.
Do not give them any information or download anything from them. They are the virus. - S. MuralidharaI gota call from this number. He identified himself as a member of windows technical team calling from Florida. He said that "they" were getting critical error messages from my computer and they would help me fix it. I asked him, who the hell it was. He said something about a "PCsecure" or something. I really got angry and hung up.
- DaveMy wife just received same kind of call - man with heavy Indian accent, wanted her to do some things on our computer. When she asked him to repeat something, he finally hung up. Totally bogus.
- Caller: unknown
- Call type: Telemarketer
- LynI just got this call, but the number has appeared several times on my caller ID. I could barely understand him and asked if there was someone who spoke clearer English. He did not transfer me to anyone just starting speaking louder and slower. He kept insisting that my computer was sending him@ Microsoft numerous malware(s) and that my computer had been infected. Told me that this could be fixed and he would walk me through it. I asked him the name of this company and he said PC Caremax out of Florida. I told him I would research and give him a call. The number he gave to call back on was 786-600-1027. I googled that number and it appears to be a scam.
- carolyn Neelysaid he was technical support, and my commputor had serious problems, and my hard drive was going to crash unless I did whatever. I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND HIM. aN iNDIAN i SUSPECT.
- Wes WilsonI too got this heavily foreign accented call. Same script about my computer was sending information to the Web and he could help if I just go to my computer and perform some steps. After a 3 minute conversation, I told him he was scamming me and funny enough, he admitted it. I have reported to ic3.gov and Clark Howard to get the message out.
- vahomeI received a call today from a man with a strong Indian accent stating that my internet provider had contacted Microsoft regarding numerous error reports they were getting from my computer. I could barely understand him so I got him to repeat the information. He asked me to go to my computer and pull up my Event Viewer and told me the errors I saw he needed to correct. After asking what he was saying repeatedly and telling him I did not believe he was with Microsoft I was transferred to another man. This man could speak English a little better. I immediately told him that I was not interested that I had a technical specialist and virus protection. He told me he had something they needed me to purchase to help against my computer crashing, etc. I hung up on them and will be reporting their phone # as fraud Monday morning.
