Received call from a man who said he was calling regarding a problem with my computer from windows and i told him the computer has no problem, he could tell me who the computer belonged to, i told him we have do have a problem with our computer at this time and if there was a problem it would be reported to the company's tech department. He said we have a problem and he is calling to fix it. I told him several time there is not a problem and i was also aware that this call is a scam and he hung up.  WooHoo!!! ;)

Two days ago I received a phone call from phone# (212)777-8547 , at the time I pick up the phone they hung up, when I called back at the number I got surprise that this phone number is disconected and not longer in service?? I can not understand how this is possible. Phone companies should be aware of this. Peoplein NY are able to do this type of scam.

I got the same call with the same scam. I could barely understand the guy, but he said the same thing: there are errors coming from my computer and he was calling to fix them. I told him I had heard of this scam and that they should be ashamed of themselves and get real jobs.

I received a call from an indian man stating he was from Windows.
He said they received numous error messages.
He directed me to many directories, including ammyy.com
I have no idea what I did and I pray he didn't get into my passwords.

I believed him since my laptop was continuously not responding.

Same situation as every one else, except that I'm not STUPID enough to believe that "Windows" or Microsoft would just call you out of the blue with supposed trouble on your machine. I talked to this Bozo a few times, each time getting more and rude with him. Now he knows who I am and is harassing me. In our last call today I asked him why he keeps calling and he said "because we get pleasure out of it". Sick [***]. I hope this helps someone else.
