She gave the phone to her manager and I told him to give the phone back to the girl I wanted to talk to her and he did. I told her she sounded like a nice girl and she should get a real job, not one ripping people off.

- ChipSame as above...foreign guy..pc at risk...even called back after I hung up..
- WBGot the same call. A friend was stupid enough to believe them and they locked up his computer, then wanted money to fix. When he asked for my IP, I told him his (all phone calls come through my computer) and then told hin FYI that I work for Homeland Security and some marines would be visiting him soon. That is not the case but it was fun to hear him stutter and hang up quickly. I bet he did not answer his door for a few days.
- Jessica P.Received a call from a man with an Indian accept who was very lightly whistling when I answered. He was very easy to understand, however he provided no name. He said he was calling from Windows Support. I asked him what this was about. He asked if he could speak to the computer owner. I said, "How do you know I have a computer? And if I do, what kind of computer is it?" He made sort of an exasperated noise and then hung up on me.
- Caller: California
- Chris| 1 replyGot a call from 213-102-3456 which shows up as a verizon phone# located near Los Angeles. Person with Indian accent stating there is a problem with my windows computer and he needed to fix it. I advised him I didn't have a windows computer, but would like to know how he got my number. He then asked if there was a "Susan" there. I said "there is no Susan here, which means this call is fraud and FYI, I work for a Fraud Prevention Company[which I do] so I will be tracking the phone number once you disconnect." He then said "you can use your computer" and hung up. Stupid [***].
- Chris replies to ChrisSame Chris as above^
Tracked some info on the phone#.....here is what I found.
Company these fraudsters are making the calls from is actually Southwestern Bell who is affiliated with AT&T. They are using "real-time phones" which are pretty much phones that are capable of showing a different number than the one they are actually using. That is why you are unable to call them back. I will be digging deeper to stop these [***]. Called the wrong guy this time ;)
Dueces - PLMI just received a call from this number. I did not answer it. I checked this site and read what has been said. The reason I am posting is I downloaded a virus protection program yesterday. Avast to try it out and now I am on these peoples radar. Pretty coincidental if you ask me but you decide.
- EdThese a..wipes just called. Their calls had stop for a while but have started up again. Just keep them on the line or just go through the motions with them without touching your computer. They will spend money on the call, you will get the last laugh. Bunch of idiots going after innocent people.

- Mel in OhioI just received a telephone call (probably from the same Indian-accented guy) that others have talked about on this site. Don't know what company he represents, but I had a "freeze" on my computer (a hack ???) yesterday (9/29/15), and today the follow-up telephone call came from probably the same guy/company. He probably wanted to collect his $199 that was showing on my computer yesterday when he wanted to "fix" my computer. I hung up on him today. Phone number that he used (to call me) was: 213-102-3456.
