Just got a call from "Armando" who said he was just calling to verify my number and who answered at it.  I work for LAUSD and he, when asked, refused to identify who he was working with.  That's not in accord with district practices, so I'm pretty sure he's not with the district.  He stated that this was just "an anonymous call," and then hung up.

Kinda creepy, if you ask me.

This number calls me about 6 or more times a day starting form 8am to 11pm. When I call the number back it‘s a busy signal. I want it to stop!!!!

I also work for LAUSD and have been receiving phone calls from this # on a daily basis. Every time I call back, it is a busy signal. If it was that important, they would leave a message! Stop harrassing me!

this is a lausd number. I called their magnet office and they were just calling me back on this number so it is legit in that respect unless someone is using their number for "prank calls"

THIS NUMBER CONTINUES TO CALL ME AND WHEN I CALL IT BACK I GET A BUSY SIGNAL.  THE CALLS START AS EARLY AS 5:30 A.M. AND CONTINUE TOO,  EVERY 10 MINUTES, FOR THE FIRST HALF OF THE MORNING, I WANT IT TO STOP!!!!!!  HOW CAN I HAVE THIS NUMBER STOP CALLING ME??!

I just got a call from the same number (213-202-5779). The person said she is calling from LAUSD. However, when I called back, the line was busy all the time. Knowing that LAUSD don't have a 202 component, I decided to go to their website to verify it and the search came back with 0. This is just weird!!!

I called personnel at a different number to follow up on a transfer and received a return call from this number.  I think it must be a phone line in which all the departments use for outgoing calls.

yes, I agree with the above posts.  I received a call back on a message I had left at an LAUSD (213) 241 number.  The caller left a message and another (213) 241 number for me to return the call.

Yes I am an LAUSD Employee and this number is the HR Teaching line. It's for when they hire certificated employees or teachers. They have run out of 241 extensions

I received a phone today from this number. But it showed up in my contacts as Ezequiel Gonzalez. I suppose I had saved it from back in the day in 2009
when he was a Human Resource Placement Specialist.
LAUSD should be honest and transparent in their daily operations. When I have called LAUSD offices tecently, they ask for my name and employee number.  Why are they calling us? What are they checking up on? Are we under investigation for

Called at 1:32 pm on 09 - 15 -16. I did not accept the call. I called back at 1:38 pm, the phone was busy.

I have received a call from this number as early as 2:35 in the morning. I also worked for LAUSD. The interesting thing is that each time a call is received, LA Unified School District shows up on my phone in the caller ID box. Strange.

For sure it is LAUSD Certificated Recruitment, Selection and Credentials, and not a scam caller.  I thought the same thing and didn't pick up because I didn't recognize the number.  But the person in HR left a message on my voice mail and the number left was not the same as the one showing up on the caller ID.  But yes for some reason if you call that number its always busy.  I think it's probably just an outgoing line (can't get incoming calls).  So I suggest you call Human Resources directly to get through. That's what I did.

I got a call from this number.  Some with an accent (Pilipino?) asked me if this was Keith ***, and asked if I had an emergency because he has a report that I called 911.  I said "no" and that was it.  Pretty annoying. I called back and it's busy, as other's have noted here.  I worked at LAUSD as a contractor for about 11 months, left there last month, so there is clearly some sort of LAUSD connection.

Got a call to remind me about an upcoming appointment from this number. It is definitely an LAUSD outgoing line only.
