We received 5 calls in one day picking up w/no repsonse.  Did the STAR69 each time. At 3pm that day, I finally called that number and got the extended warranty crap.   We are on the DO NOT CALL registry, we have been for years (here and previously in Las Vegas), and we renew yearly.  Why are these jerks calling anyhow?  Are they actually DELL or some firm licensed to pump extended warranties?

I received a couple of calls from this number.  There is no response when I pick up the line; just some clicks and noises like they hung up the phone.

They call me soooo much and never leave a message. So I called Dell personally and they said that they have not called me at all. These people are probably con artists.

i answered the call but it hangs up as soon as i answer and have answered once but it is again calling me ...it is with the dell warranty extension for sure ... i dont know wat the crap is goin on with this dell ....

these [***] keep calling and hanging up. Everytime I call it back it is a fast busy signal. I would like to get and address for these people.

Yup, same thing.  I did buy a dell for my folks recently, but am PO'd if Dell actually gives that cell number (on the do not call) to some bad call center.

I think this call center is two steps below india...  not sure where, but terrible pest.   Call TONs of times, which means I have to turn it off in meetings etc.    

Better not be dell, but then how did they get my number?

Called at 2:50 Pm today. Recognized number from this list. Ignored it. Went to VM, but no message left.

This number has been calling me at least 2 times a day for the past week..... I am about to go nuts!!!!!

Someone calls my work number from this phone number, and there is no one there and it hangs up. Who's calling?

Just received my first call from 213-228-8970.  they left no message.  I read earlier posts which indicate it is Dell.  I did order a Dell late last year.

Today is Labor Day.....this morning this 'Dell' number popped up on my caller ID- 213-228-8970. For the last week calls have been coming to my home number. I am unlisted & on the 'no call' list. A lot of good that does.

For unknown reasons Dell, along with Chase and Discover have been calling--merchants that I have had no business with - now or in the past.

My problem is that I am handicapped and sometimes lay down
in the afternoon to get out of my wheelchair. Not funny getting these calls. I found I get satisfaction from putting
on my phone when the call comes in, but not saying anything.
If they have to start paying for the calls, maybe they will stop.

I recently (3-4 weeks ago) purchased a Dell laptop and got two calls in a period of four hours today. I didn't answer and they left no voicemail. How unprofessional.

However, 15 months ago I purchased a Dell desktop and don't recall experiencing this.

After reading online, it appears they are not actually Dell and are possibly out to steal identies! Be careful with what you say! :P

I just received a call from this #. I picked up but was at work and they couldnt hear me so they just hung up. I looked up the number online and found this site. So i guess these people are not with Dell. I bought a laptop from Dell a year ago and never got a call from this # so if they call again, IM NOT PICKING UP!!
Be careful with whom you talk to..sometimes they are not who they say they are. It happened to me from my credit card company. They were asking me info i never had to give with my "credit card co" and i caught on fast so i told them why are they asking me these questions when they NEVER use to do this before. So i told him i was busy and told them i had to hang up. Never called me again after that!!

I've gotten this number also.  BEST ANSWER for this and all other phone harassers, get a phone with CALL BLOCKING.  Once you have identified the annoying number with caller ID, just program the number and then the phone will scan your blocked list on every incoming call.  If the number is on your list, it will immediately disconnect by the first ring.  I have a Panasonic KX-TGA931T and it works everytime.  It also appears to discourage call-backs which fixes the problem permanently.
