She says her name is Marie Brown.   She does not even say the nature of the call. She says that I need to call back because my lawyer needs to be present. If i don't call back she says good luck. Her phone message is saved on my phone. It makes no since.

i got a voice mail i called back and they told me to get my attorney and didnt i get the letters being sent i was like no. she said you are and your social is ..... i said what is this about she said you have a pay day loan you never paid for cash4net. I was like what, she said that there was a warrant for my arrest and at 4 pm i would be arrested. I was like really, first pay day loans are illegal in the state of AZ. then they hung up on me. They called my job too, this is way out of hand and uncalled for. Its one thing to blow up my cell phone its another to call someone’s job and tell them i have a loan ion default and that i am being arrested, its unbelievable what scam of the earth will do. Now i have to do fraud on all my credit and i am trying to buy a house this is a huge pain in the ass.

I am receiving calls from this number from a guy with a heavy accent saying "Don't disregard this message. The issue at hand is extremely time-sensitive. If we do not hear from you then the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you." This is a scam. Do NOT answer. Do NOT call them back.

I am an attorney in the State of Arizona.
My client's family called me to say that a person by the name of Michael Cardar called them to say (insert my client's name and their loved one) is in VERY SERIOUS TROUBLE.  He says he is an attorney.

I call and get this chick Ms. "Brown" who says she is an attorney.  Then she asked me to PROVE I'm an attorney and I say, uh, I don't think you're a lawyer as no one ever asks another attorney this question.  She hung up on me.

THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT LAWYERS.  I'M GUESSING THEY ARE A COLLECTION AGENCY AND TRYING TO SCARE PEOPLE INTO DOING THINGS.  

THIS IS ILLEGAL.

REPORT THEM TO YOUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL (STATE) AND YOUR U.S. ATTORNEY (FEDERAL) AS WELL AS YOUR STATE'S BAR ASSOCIATION, THE ENTITY THAT REGULATES THE PRACTICE OF LAW.

KEEP NOTES OF WHO YOU SPOKE TO, THE TIME, NUMBER, NAME THEY GAVE AND WHAT THEY SAY TO INCLUDE IN  YOUR REPORT OF VIOLATION.

Got a voicemail from this number from a guy with a foreign accent stating do not diregard this message and it was time sensitive. He was talking extremely fast but did get the number and plugged it in here. Glad I didn't call back.

They get your information from a pay day loan sight called CASH ADVANCE USA AND SOME HOW THEY COMPRISE YOUR E-MAIL. You will get a application by e-mail and if you fill it out they will have your routing number account number mothers maided name your employers name and number. when they start calling me  my email password would not let me in and I could not get in. I had to get another account. They call them self a investional service. They said that I was going to jail It is a SCAM!!!

So, today, Ms. Brown isn't answering the phone and saying she is an attorney.
I gather she got a little nervous.
They are probably reading the posts.

In CA, the unauthorized practice of law is a crime and since they are calling from the LA Area, I would contact the LA County District Attorney at (213) 974-3888.

They need  to put a consumer alert on their webpage about this issue.

Finally, I would call the CA Attorney General and perhaps just do one letter and put each of the organizations in the address so they all get notice that they have a problem.

this number called me and told me that i received a loan and i havent repaid it......i told her i never received a loan to pay back and she said it doesnt matter they are coming to arrest you because you havent made any payments. i never received a loan from any company ever in my life.

It is a scam.  If you apply for a payday loan your phone number/information is sent everywhere.  These people somehow get a hold of it and call threatening arrest/collections.  You may also get calls from "Auto Loans Network"  with the same accented people.  

I tell them that their voice turns me on and they never call me again after.

I guess they are back at it again. Just received a call from a David Smith from  213-261-6494 on my job, with this same scam. They call at least once a month changing names and phone number. As soon as the guy started I cut him off and told him to stop calling and his name number was will be reported to BBB. That last time one of these nut jobs called they were very rude, so I just cut to the chase!

i reported them and im sending this as a new topic to every news station that i know of.. All im gonna say is they called the wrong person!!!

They called us yesterday and started leaving a message that we still have before my husband answered the phone. It was a man saying that my husband was in big trouble and needed to call his boss Michelle brown before the end of the business day ( mind you  he called at 5:30) or they would have to take legal actions.We couldn't understand a single thing he said because is accent was so stinking thick. We called the number and got a voice mail that is apparently full but it says it is a law office. We live in Colorado who do I contact to report this here? It is obviously a CA number so do I call someone here or in CA?

this number 213 2616494 and also 4159527351 called me and told me that i received a loan and i havent repaid it.....that was fraud and that if i did not pay it i was gping to jail today..i am getting calls from them and the men name are michael carter and kenneth webster. they said  they are coming to arrest me today  because i havent made any payments. they scared me. .
