Caller ID said Los Angeles, CA. Robo call said call was from a deputy calling to collect federal taxes before I was to be imprisoned, and to call back as soon as possible. I called back, suspicious and curious to see what would happen. I called back a few times, each time the call disconnected in different ways.

Received a call from this number stating that there is a legal case file against me regarding outstanding taxes. Suspect this is a scam - These folks are just fishing for personal information to run a scam.

CALL THREATENING TO HAVE ME ARRESTED FOR FEDERAL TAX FRAUD

They told me I owe IRS money and deputy is on his way to arrest me. And then need to provide my lawyer's name. I am a liar and someone who refuse to pay my debt.

This is an IRS phishing scam, the IRS will not call you or leave a robo voicemail.  These calls should be reported by email to phishing@irs.gov.  Pretty hilarious and ironic considering they called my mother who is a CPA who prepares tax returns and works on IRS resolution cases all the time.

This is Officer Judy Smith from the Department of U.S. Treasury. This is your official final notice that a case has been filed against your name concerning a petition to serve a tax. Be sure to call 213-270-1985 before you get arrested.

THIS KIND OF OUTRAGEOUS CR*P NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN BY THE TELEPHONE COMPANIES! WHY MUST WE ENDURE SUCH HARASSMENT?! HOPE THESE FRAUDS ARE CAUGHT AND JAILED! DO NOT APPRECIATE THIS KIND OF HARASSMENT, ESPECIALLY AT 8:11 A.M. WHEN TRYING TO SLEEP DUE TO ILLNESS!

SCAM! Got the same call yesterday. A recording saying to call Judy Smith. Suck it Scammers.

I got the same call that everyone is describing.  I called back and had a hilarious conversation with a guy who called himself Kevin Smith, despite his ultra thick Middle Eastern or Indian accent. Just for curiosity I asked him  what he wanted me to do. He said I should get him  him $5000 through a wire transfer.  To him, Kevin Smith, not the IRS.
This was on August 25 at 3 o'clock. At the end of the call I told him he was an absolute idiot and that I would report him to the IRS, which he begged me not to do – pathetically.

He was so lame and stupid it did not even occur to me that anyone would believe him.

I just received a call they said a police report was filed against me. & they threatened to arrest me

Have received many calls from this number but just today a message (from woman's Robo voice) was left that I owe back taxes and this was my final warning before I will be arrested.  I listened to the message a couple of times even though the first part of it was cut off.  Called the number back; a man with a very heavy Middle Eastern or Indian accent answered but I did not understand anything that he said; asked him to repeat what he said, then the call was disconnected.  Figured it was some stupid idiot person or fake company trying to get people's money.

Got a call from this number that's most obviously a robot and claims to be investigating me for fraud.

At first I was afraid that I might owe something when I heard the message, but thanks to this site and my son, I didn't bother wasting my time and money on these losers.

Yeah, I just got this call. First, I panicked. Then, I realized they never even mentioned a name. And how could this be a 'final notice' when I'd never received any other notices. I tried calling the number, but it was busy. Then, I reported it to the US Department of the Treasury online.

Ha! I was told "Officer Judy Smith" was calling me on my voice mail. These Smiths have this all sewed up!

Didn't pick up. CID said Los Angeles. It went to message and they said it was from the US Treasury about some legal problem and we need to call back at this # ASAP. Yeah, right.

Robo call said was with the legal dept of the U.S. Treasury and to call back 213 270 1985 so I did and left a message "nice try @sshole I reported this to the FBI so don't call here again!

Another scam instigated from 213 270 1985. I was threatened with arrest in ONE HOUR if I didn't go down to the IRS OFFICE and paid back taxes of 7000$ from 2006 immediately. I now see how many of us were upset from this call now that I see the responses on this site. I hope you arrest these scammers and put them in the jail that they threatened to put many of us in.........
