I got call....did search..telemarketer...I just blocked the number...my telephone  carrier is cable and they told me to  dial star60  get the info and  block it yourself.  mine is free....so all telemarket calls are blocked

I got two calls from this number and someone said they were in jail in Lee Country (Auburn, Al) and wanted to talk to his gramma.

This number called me and was trying to convince me that my computer was not "updating" and they received the message from my computer. Give me a break. There is a delay on the call and the person is from some other country. He tried to "help" me by tying to gather personal information. This has happened before from another number. It is clearly a SCAM to get your personal information or to get into your network/computer. I save these kinds of numbers under a "scam" contact in my phone so I know what jerk I will be dealing with when they call back.

Very simalar situation here. The original phone # displayed as from Califorina. The caller insited he was from "Windows" and my computer was reporting a problem. After dropping an F-bomb on him I received another call from a New York Number, with the same voice.

Quit calling me. Nothing wrong with my computer.

They said it was about my computer & I just simply hung up before he got 2 sentances out...Could hardly understand his Indian (India) accent

Got a call this am from this number - said it was about Windows on my computer could not understand due to accent told her this is a scam and hung up will now block this caller

It's a scam from some f...ing foreigner trying to get personal info from you so he can hack your bank accounts.

Just got the same exact call!!!!

These people call every morning saying there is a problem with your computer and Microsoft is receiving error messages from your system. They want you to sign on and give them information and access to your system. DON'T DO IT! If you give them access they will use all your information and steal everything you have.

Called me to say errors on my computer and virus.  
The first person then transfers to their "support" person who wants to gain control of the computer to resolve (for a fee if there are issues).
They lead you to view the Windows Event Viewer and use the report of errors and warnings to justify a problem.
If you do not have remote access they try to get you to download a free remote control software package.
