Calls at 1:30 pst.  Tried returning the call during normal business hours and get a message that the subscriber i have called is not taking calls now.

They (Ameristar Financial) left a message to call 866-395-3863.  A woman named Ashley answered at 15:45 on 08/28/2007.  She would not respond as to why they were calling a number on the federal DO NOT CALL list.

This number called twice in a row at 12:50am and again at 12:52am. When I called the number back it just rang until a recorded message said something like "this line is not available at this time."

1st received a 6:30 AM call on this past Monday morning.  Then Tuesday night around 1:46 AM.

Then repeated calls this morning starting at 5:30 and 3 repeated calls after that every 4 minutes or so.  All with the "beep, beep, beep."  

We don't owe anyone any money, and don't understand this harassment, or prank, or whatever it is.  I want it to stop.  We are a "no calls" number.  Any help stopping these people, and legally punishing them would be appreciated.

this lady wants to know when we are planning to move our office and how staff are going to move. thick chinese accent. spelled my whole name to confirm v-victor e-eagle...dang! it my name has 26 letters...takes time.

This number is used/owned by Level III Communications and its subsidiary Broadwing Communications.  Broadwing specializes in VOIP ("Voice Over Internet Protocol") calls.  That is what this is.  The person that is calling you has blocked their outgoing number, and so Level III/Broadwing has inserted this number as the incoming number.  That's why so many of you have been receiving calls from this number.

I've received several call from that number and on my caller ID it said Network OPS, whatever that means. I tried calling the number back, but it just keeps ringing until it says that my call cannot be completed at this time.

they keep calling and not leaving a message.  I call it back and it says it is not a working number!  But it shows up on my caller id.  Why???

I got a call from this number tonight. someone with a middle eastern accent said he was calling from Hollywood and wanted to get my opinion about movies.

I keep getting calls from this number with no messages. Its drivng me crazy! I have no idea who it is and am not sure who to report it to or how to make them stop!

I have been called 17 times today by this number. All from 3:30 pm to now which is 5:30 pm.

Received a call from this number at 6:14 PM today.  No message was left and I didn't answer it.  I have no idea why an unlisted person and phone number is being called to begin with.  How do they have business with a person they don't know?  So I suspect it is a blind-calling telemarketer or another such lowly slime.

I've seen reports that it is Ameristar Financial, a gambling company named Youwager.com, Level 3 Comms, The Nielson Ratings Service and probably some others I missed.

It seems likely it is used by a myriad of people or organizations to hid their true telephone number from people wo would call them back mad as H*ll or to hide the organization from the U.S. FTC and fines from donotcall.gov.

Whoever it is, I have a box that will reject that number from now forward.  I'll be placing that number in the box before bed time tonight!

***Update**  - I can't believe this.  As I was typing the above, the telephone in my office rang again.  Same number again, exactly 2 hours apart - second call at 8:14 PM, CST.  I grabbed the line fast. It was a lady claiming to be calling from IPSOS - a Market Research Company.  The CEO of IPSOS North America has the following email address:  jim.smith@ipsos-na.com .  There is another set of contacts:  Contact Ipsos at 1.888.210.7425 or email: info@ipsos-na.com . The first thing she said was "I not try to sell you anythings.(She had broken Mexican accent)  Are you Hispanic?"  At that point, I went OFF on the lady.   After what I told her, I don't think she will call back here.  She picked the wrong group of questions to ask me.

I got a call 1:56am at home from this #. I missed the call. When I call it back it is just a very busy signal. When I got to work, I had a voice message. It was from the same #, but they hung up and did not leave a message.

keep getting a call between 2am and 3 am on my cell, first call is no caller ID, two minutes later i get a call from 213 291 1900, alll I hear is fast beeps.  Very annoying in the middle of the night.  what to do?

213-291-1900 called me at 4:37 a.m., did not answer, called back and got a not in service noise.

I have been getting calls from this number btw 12 a.m. and 5 a.m. for the past two weeks and it's getting really annoying. I have assigned the number to "no ring" on my phone just in case I forget to turn of the phone before going to sleep. Please let's try to get these people to stop. If your number has been on the "do not call" list for more than 30 days (mine has been for 3 years!!), please go and file a complaint at www.donotcall.gov. not sure what that will do, but it's a start.

I'm at work but have my cell sitting next to me all day, though I can't answer it. Since 10am they have called me 23 times. It's driving me insane!
