This company called saying they were from California State Atorney's office.  He said his name is Curtis Jackson.  He has a very thick accent which was my first sign this was a fraudulent call.  He said he was representing Cash Advance and they were sueing me for $648.00.  When I started to ask questions and told him I was going to report him he hung up.

I got a call today from this number.  The man had a very very thick middle eastern accent.  He said his name was Ricky Martin.  The first thing he said to me was he asked "do you have an attorney on retainer", which is yes for now..then he said that he was representing the California State attorney's office and he had a judgment against me for a certain amount..(i cant remember what he said it was) and that it was being filed against me from Cash Advance USA.  I told him I didn't understand him very well, and I asked him how he got my information.  I do have a payday loan, but though another company and all is well there.  I asked to speak to someone I can understand.  He told me to call back the number, it took me several tries and while calling him back, he left a message on my voice mail that I should call the number or I would be very sorry.  I finally called  and got Curtis Jackson on the phone who told me they were gonna send me police and take me to jail or before the court in California...ha! What a fraud.  DO NOT SEND THESE IDIOTS MONEY OR TAKE THEIR THREATS TO HEART! I   Report these scammers for the liars and cheats that they are!

I keep getting calls from the same number (213-293-8175) asking for my uncle (by name). Same thick, middle eastern accent. Today his name is John Ross, last week it was "something" Wilson. He didn't even say who he was representing. Left a message saying something about a "time-sensitive" matter and if he did not hear back from my uncle or his attorney, then the only thing he could do was wish my uncle well. What a crack-pot! Don't give out any information or send money to these SCAMMERS!

I got a call from this number 2132978175 with a thick accent say his name was mark something and he was representing cash advance and the I was be sueing me for an amount of money he didnt say how much I have a loan through another copy not cash advance when I the told him that and told him off he hung up

Receive another call from this number 213-293-8175 FRAUD BIG FRAUD.    When I call back I get a busy signal because I'm calling from my work number that is the federal government.

I received two calls from this person claiming he was representing some company could understand thru the heavy accent. He claimed he was an attorney in which he and his client was suing me for 445.00. After getting no information out of him, I did my own research and found the real Curtis Jackson Morris attorney at law and informed him that someone was using his name and credentials. I recommend that everyone contact the real attorney so this butt hole get what his deserve. The number is 707-938-0861. I am pretty sure if enough of us complain to him he will stop it.

I am a police officer.  My agency received a complaint from a citizen reference this number advising the complainant they needed an attorney, that they were being sued, and that there were warrants out for his arrest.  I called the company and asked for Ricky Martin, was advised he was one of their paralegals, but I couldn't speak with him because the guy who answered the phone, who said his name was "Curtis," was his senior and could help.  I advised that I needed to speak with Ricky Martin since he is the one who called me, again not able to happen this time because he is "unavailable."

The complainant was checked for warrants with negative results and was advised this is most likely a scam.

I just got a call and what all the others have said fits my call to a T. After I heard do you have a lawyer I just hung up, He called back like 5 times. This is a fraud but if not they really need to fire this guy and get a English speaker.

I got a call from this number from a guy with a heavy Indian/Middle Eastern accent claiming I had charges against me from a client I owed debt.  He would not give me any details but he did ask me if I had any attorney representation and wanted me to call the number back and ask for Curtis Jackson.  Wow, I'm glad I found this blog.  I live in Texas.

I also got a called from these crazy people telling me to call Curtis Jackson concerning some charges filed against me. These people are real IDIOTS. I told the person that called to have Curtis Jackson call me, and that I am not calling him if this is so important. I hung up and then he called back and left the same message. Real IDIOTS! They think people are stupid.DON'T RESPOND and when they call tell them the call is being traced, I garentee they will hang up on you.

This man has called me several times and has threatened to have me arrested for a payday loan in California and I have never been to California I notified my local authorities of this as well as the authorities in California

My daughter got a call from this 213-293-8175 number and promptly inquired what was the nature of this call while asking for me by name...  Well she advised them at my consent that if I should happen to owe any past payday loan,( I have done this numerous times for others) ,  I will be more than glad to contact them, and not to call again.  After promptly hanging  up, this same guy called back again two times, after being hung -up on upon answering.  However on the third time, I answered the phone, and advised the caller, I would report the abuse as a consumer complaint of harassment and he hung up.   This type of consumer abuse is harassment.  The government should intervene and stop this predatory practice of debt buying....

Recieved a phone call from this number on yesterday. They called my job. I had to take a message cause i was at work. Called them after work.they told me i owed cash advance in theamount of $569.00. Knowing that i dont have any accounts with a cash advanced i disreguarded the information. Please have these people arrested or taking care of by legal actions for fraud and harrasment on people theysee that are trying to make a honest living.

i got a call from this number today at my job and my boss told them not to contact me at work for personal matters and they gave her my social security number and when i called back i was told that i had a warrant out for my arrest and that my job would know that i had to take out a loan and couldnt pay for it. when i told them that i was goin to press charges for them giving out my social to someone who clearly told them that it wasnt me the man (curtis jackson, peter phin) hung up on me. then he started calling my cell phone.

Guy with heavy Indian accent called me saying I had a case in California, he is fake and eats lamb chops with curry, I could almost smell his dinner through the phone.  No license number and they want to give loans and charge exorbant interest.  DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION.  Called from number 9517080369.

i have been getting calls from a different number,but with the same information. that i owe someone money and i have a loan from a different company.says his name is curtis jackson and that they are going to send the police after me and put me in jail. is this the same thing with everyone else.i just hope it's not true.cause i'm freaking out here.

OMG!!! This JUST happened to me!!!! Scared the living SH*T out of me!! Told me sheriff was coming to my place of employment and I would serve 9 months in jail....
Had ALL kinds of info on me. Said I needed to pay 496.46 NOW to avoid jail time.
My husband is a police officer and they get free legal help. When I told "Curtis" this, he a MAJOR attitude w/ me. Said "fine mrs karrie, if u don't want to pay me the amt now to settle this matter, I am authorizing the sheriffs dept I make an arrest w/I the next hour!" and hung up on me. I just paid off a payday loan so I KNOW it was a major scam!!!! Unbelievable! NOT a good voice mail to receive tho....

Wow...I just got messages off my cell phone from this very same, middle eastern man with a thick accent named Curtis Jackson who said I'm being sued and that if I don't respond, there will be a warrant in my name. I was dumb enough to call back, but got vm...I will NOT be calling back again.

The # he called from is 207-809-1198 and he has called numerous times!
