This scammer is using resumes posted on monster.com and/or careerbuilder.com to solicit job seekers for education opportunities. I was sucked in thinking that Lock Heed Martin was interested in my resume for an Executive Assistant position, only to find out that the scammer did not nor ever had any affiliation w/Lock Heed Martin. When you call they will not identify their company name and answer the phone "Human Resources". They take your personal information and almost from the second you hang up you will receive a call, in my case from a person claiming to be from the University of Phoenix offering education opportunities. I am of course concerned because they now have my personal information and have wasted my time which is valuable. I could have used this time to seek legitimate job opportunities. I hope someone can help!

This number 213-325-3204 is not associated with any scams.  When you get a call from VeriResume, they are responding to an application that an applicant completed online.  VeriResume is contracted by hundreds of employers that verify information that was completed during the initial process of the application.  VeriResume also does not solicit.  The opportunity to receive free information from participating Universities is just a benefit to each applicant that applies for employment through our websites.  Information is free and there is no obligation.  Only when an applicant agrees to being contacted, for FREE information, does a representative call. All applications are then forwarded onto a client services manager for review whether the applicant agrees to the free information or not.  If the applicant is qualified for the position, the client services manager will then contact the applicant for an interview. Not everyone receives a phone call from the client services manager because not everyone is qualified.  This is a legitimate company that helps applicants find a job.

I also received a phone call from 213-325-3204.  THIS a scam and it has nothing to do with Lock Heed Martin.  The person/persons that sent me this application claim to be from Lock Heed Martin. One of the questions was if I was interested in furthing my education I replied NO and then it kicked me out of the system saying that there was a system error and that I had to retry sending the application later.  And it's not a benefit to receive information when I'm not looking for it.  This company helps applicants find jobs...they have lied because they said they were from Lock Heed Martin and would like to talk to me about a job they said nothing about helping me look for a job.  They need to be reported to BBB.  I plan to get ahold of someone in the Lock Heed Martin Organization to and let them know what this so call company is doing "VeriResume".

I missed a call from 213-325-3204 and no message was left.  Since, I'm currently seeking for new job opportunities, I decided to call back.  In fact, I called them back 4 times.  All four times there was a recording stating that all hr representatives were busy now and to call back later.  That is when I decided to look up the company's name by using the phone number displayed on my caller ID.  I can't to think this was a call to scam on people.

My call went just like the employee of VeriResume said, except the woman stated she was from Alltel. I said I was not interested in furthering my education, and she just verified information anyone could find in the phone book and said she would forward it along to a client service manager. I immediatly got an e-mail for VeriResume asking me to sign up. I did not. I would not worry about this being a scam, just a service trying to get your business, and according to their website, they work with some great companies!

I posted this at 800notes.com as well, where there are four pages of info on this number.
Got a call from them on the 15th at 8 AM central time. I highly doubt a verification company would be calling at 6 AM their time. They did not leave a voice mail, and when I did a reverse look up it came up as an unlisted residential phone number. Have not bothered calling them back.
Reverse look-up on whitepages.com yields - "(213) 325-3204 is Unpublished or Unavailable."

Employee of VeriResume: Why would we be receiving such a call from an unlisted residential phone number and not a business phone number?

I just got a call from this number and not knowing who it was I let my voicemail take it. After they did leave a voicemail I checked it, and got the same hold message people have reported here. So I called them back, and got the same message, waited about 15 seconds and someone picked up. I didn't give any information, it was to confirm my information they already had for a company that is confidential. I asked the lady on the phone why I wasn't allowed to know the company name I applied to (I did send out a few resumes) and she said that when a company is confidential in their databases it means they don't want the VeriResume company reps who do the calling to know. She then assured me if I didn't apply to any companies that they can end the call there. I continued with the process and only confirmed/denied the information they already have (My address is only mine for a short while anyways).

She did ask my my educational level and asked if I was considering furthering it, and I told her yes but not in near future. The question never came up again.

My point here is just to share my experience and that no company name was given (I had this page up while I was talking to her in fact) and I didn't give out any information, only confirmed what they had in their database.

So we shall see.

I'm not the employee of the company but I do know alot of homeshoring jobs and call centers use a dedicated line for this sort of thing. Why it was that early is beyond me, but that's why a reverse lookup would show a residential number based on a business number. That's also why you are put on hold, why the call is routed to a home based employee.

The reason why the number comes up as an unlisted residential number is outside of my knowledge.
Also, if you ever speak with a respresentative, be observant of the way they present themselves.  When they call, they should be saying "I am calling on BEHALF of Lockheed Martin" etc.  Not, "I am calling FROM Lockheed Martin".  Oftentimes, new reps aren't careful with what they say.  It isn't because they are intentionally misrepresenting themselves.  They are human...

This is a scam.  The represented themselves as being affiliated with Lockheed Martin.  I personally know the HR Director at my local Lockheed Martin and apparently Web sites like this have been a problem.  I submitted my information thinking it was a real job advertisement, and it was not.  I immediately got worried, since they now have my information.  Then I received a call from this number.  I might call and ask them to remove me.  This is some sort of scam to sell you phone service or to get you involved in education opportunities that you did not ask for.

This company has been emailing me and calling and now text messages.  They work for the colleges and phone company I believe.  I have reported them and the company I reported them to is taking legal action for using their name.  I suggest everyone report them so that they can have this type of activity stopped.  I will also report them to Careerbuilder.

This company is calling my cell phone and leaving a message that I needed to respond as above. I am really pissed they are calling my cell. Someone needs to sue these people. Veri resume has no right to call me---I have NEVER EXPRESSED INTEREST IN THEM! GET LOST! IF THEY EVER TEXT ME---I WILL SUE.

I just received a call from this number as well.  I didnt answer it and googled the number.  This site here is what I got. Thank god, as I was thinking of calling the number back.   I appreciate you all having information about this SCAM on here.  They called my cell phone and the thing is, I have ALL MY phone numbers LAN AND CELL on a "do not call" list.  So how are they able to surpass that?  This is why I don't answer.  I need to doublecheck with my cell phone company, but I think that if you don't answer you dont get charged.  Although I am not sure how it works if they left a voicemail.  Lucky for me they did not.

Called at 7:44 PDT this morning and didn't leave a message. Regarding the VeriResume employee representatives being "human," you could've fooled me. It was a recorded outbound call center message on my voicemail, and returning the call yields NHA (No Human Available).

I looked this number up as they didn't leave a message.  I did some researching on my own, because I remembered some fishy e-mails I received from job opportunities.  Finally, I found out this all started from when I was looking up jobs under CraigsList, there was a position for marketing/Account Rep. but NO Company was listed.  As I wa slooking through my e-mails, I realized I had applied to this job, and they e-mailed me back asking to fill out a survey because they had been receiving many e-mails etc etc, so I did! This is where it all started from.  I guess from this story...do NOT send out e-mails to companies that show no name--it's probably too good to be true!

And also, to watch out for this, their e-mail format usually  says "Dear blah blah, I think you are really qualified for this job.....please fill out this application."  That's the jist of it all.  But don't!  As I can read, this is a spam, and I'm pissed they have my information now.  I knew I shouldn't have filled it out, I had a funny feeling--and BF told me not to- but I am in need of finding a job so badly right now.

Just got a call on my cell with this number.  They did not leave a message.  I, also, do not answer phone numbers I do not recognize.  Is/will somebody do something about this?  It is rediculous!!!
