Caller says they are with the Department of Treasury Legal Affairs division, says that there is an urgent need to pay or law enforcement will be on the way. Heavy middle-eastern accent using names like Brian Jones or Chris Williams. Call back to this number gets a pick-up, and they claim to be this entity although it sounds obviously to be a call center. Phishing scam.

Called an said we owed back taxes from 2007 in the amount of $3000. Law enforcement would be by within the hour to pick her up. Foreign accent with last name as Parker.

Received a call fro Legal Affairs, Middle Eastern type accent Said an Enforcement action may be taken against me.

Same as above - middle Eastern accent. Why hasn't this crap been shutdown.

I received similar call from Middle Eastern guy, left me a vmail actually. Stating he is from Legal Affairs & it is urgent for me to call him back. Sounded like he said his name is John Nursey ??? And if I do not call him back he suggested to have an attorney call him back, also ended his speech with have a blessed day.

Just received that same call and said name was Matt Clark with heavy accent asking for my husband and that he needed to call back ASAP.

my fiance just got this call too  saying he owed back taxes was told he had to call another number and he said it sounded fishy so i looked it up, thank you for confirming our suspicions

I got the same call but from Diana Foster also heavy accident. Called back got answering machine but I did not leave a message and got on the internet to see if it was a scam...obviously was. Thanks for all your post now I am not worried

Received call from this number just now, let it go to voicemail because I don't know anyone in California.  Caller had very heavy accent, said he is with Department of Legal Affairs and that I am in a legal mess.  Caller said I needed to call back right away or have my attorney call.  Caller gave a phone number and then said"  "Have a Blessed Day".   Total scam.

I got the same call yesterday---very intimidating.   I reported it today to the WA State AG office

I received the same call with a voicemail from Diana Foster as well. Called back & spoke with a Chris Walker id # 835110 allegedly from the Department of Legal Affairs for U.S. Treasury. I was  informed that I had a warrant out for my arrest due to taxes from 2011. I was informed that the IRS has attempted to collect a debt from me that I ignored. And that an officer would be at my home within an hour.

Received a call approx 45 minutes ago on home phone.  Left a 64 sec message of which I did not understand.  I called back on my cell and was connected to a Keith Jones middle eastern ass, who then preceded to tell me I had a warrant out for my arrest.  I asked for what???? And he stated he would tell me and the call was being recorded and to not interrupt him until he was finished.  He stated the IRS had tried to reach me 3 times via snail mail.  I told him that was a lie!  He then told me that the Sheriff's were coming to get me in 45 minutes and I had better get myself a good criminal attorney because I was going to jail for 6 months.  Needless to say it really scared me!  And then I called my folks who are very rational, and they said it was prob a hoax.  Then all rationale set in and now I'm pissed off!

Just received a VM from this number. Same as all of the above. Caller had an accent, said he was John Dursey (or something similar) and said that there was legal action being taken against me and that I should call them back or retain an attorney to speak with them. Glad to know it is just a scam!

Got a call from this number claiming to be the department of Legal affairs in CA, called back harrassing twice claiming he was going to start legal proceedings against me for an unknown matter.  Says his name is Michael Clark, heavy middle eastern accent.  Asked him where he was calling from, took him about thirty seconds to come up with California before he then threatened me again with legal action.

I also just received a call from this number from a middle eastern man claiming he was with the IRS. According to him the Police will be at my house within the hour. This is a total scam!! And if I'm not mistaken he is also the same guy but from a different number, who called me a month ago about my computer having a virus. He needs to get a real job and quit trying to scam people off!

I received the same threatening VM and call.  I called the FBI, they told me to call the FTC - 877-382-4357 and file a complaint.  I encourage everyone to do this and maybe, just maybe, they will catch these terrible people and shut these terrorizing phone calls.

Just received the same threatening call from a lady with a middle eastern/Indian accent.. She implied legal issues stating class action legal proceedings against a person who is not listed on this phone but in my family. I did not respond and have blocked the number.

I got a call from this number and they wanted to talk to me about some legal matters.

Just got the call and told to call 213-437-6040 back - and to ask for Chris Walker - when called back a female very heavy accent said that they were associates and started reading me a demand letter saying that they were going to have law enforcement come to my office an arrest me for $3000.00 warrant.  They said they were from U. S. Treasury  I hung up on them
