Received a call from an automated service stating that I was eligible for a lower interest rate. Supposebly they are affliated with Visa & Mastercard member card services.

When I spoke to a rep they stated that based on my excellent payment history they could lower my interest rates on all my Visa & Mastercard accounts. No credit check required all they needed was for me to give them a credit card number of one of my credit cards, preferably the one with the least balance.

The rep stated that they had sent me a mailing a few weeks back, but that I probably threw it out. At this point I was highly skeptical and asked them to please verify the address to where the letter was sent and he could not tell me.

So I told him that this was all very odd and that I've never heard of any such service and I hung up on them. I tracked the number to a cell phone somewhere in California. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS SCAM!!!

Received call from this number on my cell phone, didn't answer (I've been getting LOTS of unsolicited scam calls lately).  No message left, naturally.  Interesting that the other comment on this number was made only 4 hours ago.

Just missed picking up a call from this number. No message left. I was curious about who was calling from L.A. at 7am their time.

called at 2:30 in the morning from California I live in new jersey. didn't answer but calls are repetitive

I just got a call from this number too. Glade I didn't answer, this website is very helpfull because now I will not answer even if they call back 100 times.

I've been getting a lot of these types of calls lately. I wish there was a way to go after these people.

Yeah someone just called me as well from this number i missed the call but then i tried to call back and there was no answer. i then called back on a different phone in which it did work. so possibly if it becomes a missed call they block your number?
no message was left for mine either

I also received a call from 213 504 7084. The caller insisted on me giving her my credit card number. When I refused because I told her I was not comfortable giving out my credit card # she was most annoyed. And went on to explain that is against the law to use somewhere else credit card information etc.

Didn't recognize the number on the cell phone, so I ignored it and looked it up. So many calls in such a short time: sounds like some company's list got stolen...

Received a call from this number about a 1/2 hour ago and just got around to looking it up. No message so either they had the wrong number or a scam. If this is a California area code, its gotta be a scam to call out to Pennsylvania.

seems like this # has been used a lot today, I just got the call and didn't answer thank the lord, I called back but it was a mesage telling me if I wanted to block them to press one or something

Called my cellphone. I didn't recognize the #. So I ignored it, didn't answer & Googled it.

some are scammers wanting your personal or credit card info. others are from numbers that charge you when you pick up.  (if that happens, you can contact your phone company to have charges removed).  best thing to do is to call your phone company and have them block the number. most allow you to block a certain amount of numbers for free.

they've been calling my phone on and off for about 6 months now at all times during the day.  i finally remembered to block them.
