This number called me, unsolicited, on 2/12.  I was in the middle of something and did not know the number.  I picked up the phone and laid it on the table and went on with my business.  Well, at 7:22 am this morning I got paid back (??)  This time I answered and got hung up on.  When you call the number back it sends you to an ext to leave a v/m.  What kind of "business" doesn't have the balls to speak to potential customers?  Do they think this type of "customer service" is 'charming'?  I saw where 1438 is a free trade magazine called STORAGE (or something)and since the number is so close to 1439..hmm.  Anyway people, let's join forces and when you get a call from this number DO NOT SUBSCRIBE.
I must say that I WAS impressed that a Calif # was out of bed @ 5:22 am just to call me!  I feel so special!  (Needless to say, I'd already been up for 2 hrs, so the call did NOT wake me up)

Calls like this are not made by humans, but by computers, that's why no one says anything on the other end. The computer records the date and time you or your answering machine answers the phone. The company then sells their compiled list to other companies who now know the day and time of the week to call you with the best chance of you answering.

Your best bet is to note these calls and file the appropriate complaints with the DO NOT CALL LIST to build a history.

You can't register a complaint with the FTC.  Their website requires that you know who the business is.  If you answer that question, "No" on the website, no luck.  Have Gun Will Travel.

I have received 2 calls a day almost every day for the past 3 weeks.  I have this cell phone number on the "Do Not Call" list too.

They call to sign you up for free business/trade magazine subscriptions if you'll answer survey questions.

Receiving ongoing calls from 213-537-1439. Each and every time I answer, they hang up. Have since decided NOT to answer them any longer and have saved the number into my cell phone under "TELEMARKETER - Do NOT Answer". Have done the same with past numbers as well, as it has saved me a lot of time wondering who the heck is calling me at 3 AM. These calls are coming at all hours of the day and night, so I'm guessing it's an automated system. As my cell number is listed on the Do-Not-Call list, I WILL be reporting these ongoing disturbance calls immediately.

I've been receiving calls for the last 10 days, every day from this number.  Each and every time I've let it go to VM.  All calls have been before 10:30 am EST...

I continue to get these calls too. By chance is anyone else who is getting these calls had any contact with an
internet e-mail service called eFax or J2Global?

Rec'd our first call from 213-537-1439...did not answer.  Hope they will not call back.  BTW, we did have efax!

This caller contacted us early AM...then hung up on me.  We get a free trade mag called STORAGE.  Seems a little too coincidental.  We are constantly frustrated by these hang up callers...computer or human they should be stopped.  At least have the courtesy to say something.  We do report all of these that we can trace.

I just got a call from this number as well, didn't answer.  I don't get a free trade mag called Storage, nor do I use or have had contact with efax, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

My story is much the same as everybody else. The calling pattern is every few days at random times. It never leaves a message. The area code appears to be from Southern Cal.

I'm so sick of this! They have called multiple times in the last two days, and I pulled out of a meeting as they called back-to-back 3 times in a row. I assumed it was an emergency. I call back, got a blank answering machine and they continue to call and hang up.

Now that I've seen this other feedback I will also store it as junk in my phone and not answer. So lame.

Called offering a stupid magazine subscription. And yes, we have e-fax.

They call at least two times a day - have done so for the past few weeks.  We do not answer calls that come up as out of area or unavailable on caller id.  They don't give up.  And for the record, I don't have efax and have never heard of their magazine.

I programmed my phone with their number, and set the personal ringer to "silent" so that I'm not disturbed by them.

Twice called, did not leave message.  Called number back - get voice mail asking me to identify myself while they do not identify who they are - i think Not.  My number is on a the DO-NOT-CALL registry, if it's a solicitor I have a tort to file.  Annoying.
