- Caller: ?????
- RogerI received five calls from this number today. Have no idea who or what.
- Debbie replies to Jake's Bail BondsSo do you give the inmates these calling cards so the inmate can try to come up with the money for the bail bond? And also do the charges come back on the other persons phone, an example a collect call.
- Justin| 4 repliesHas anyone figured out how to make the calls stop. I have gotten 4 calls in a half hour?
- maggieThis number is from an inmate at a county jail. An automated message will tell you that an inmate at "____ jail" is trying to call you and it usually lets the inmate state their name. It then asks if you want to accept the call or not and you press the according button. If you dont answer in time it wont connect your call. The inmate pays for the call.
- Tiffany| 1 replyI do not know who is calling me from this number (213-543-0000) but it is getting on my nerves. I have gotten three phone calls today, and a few yesterday. If u do not know any Inmates in this Cali Jail how are they get ur number to call ? Makes no sense to me. And on all the voicemails this inmate left it does not say a name at all just a recording about which buttons to push?
- joe| 2 repliesits just a number for the calling card they use. just got one and im in florida. Googled number and found this and just got a call from a friend that said the inmate i know tried to call. They probably know ur number and are trying to get in contact with u for some reason. Just answer I guess its doesn't charge you.
- Beantown replies to Granny| 1 replyIt's a calling card for a county jail. It does not cost the recipient (the person answering the phone) any money. The inmates have to purchase them with commisary money. It's like $10 for 10 minutes. So, you can safely answer to find out who it is without worrying about fees on your phone bill.
- TiffI do not know this person. Please stop calling me!
- Snoopy| 1 replyThe call is at no cost to you when you receive one. We normally don't answer calls from toll-free numbers or numbers we don't recognize, but something inside me told me to go ahead and take this one. My call turned out to be our nephew asking for some pictures of him and his girlfriend. It might not be clear right away who you know in jail, but take the call - it costs you nothing and could just save their day. If it is a wrong number, it still didn't cost you anything and that inmate now knows they have the wrong number and shouldn't be calling you anymore.
- Kimberli Peterson| 1 replyI'm not sure why I keep getting a call from this number... so I've been ignoring it. But it annoyed me so I googled it and see this.. not sure what to do.
- BardicChickI just received a call from this 213-543-0000. I know someone in jail, but my number has changed at least four times and I haven't been able to contact him to give him the new one. Is it possible someone is just calling numbers randomly?
- Pat| 6 repliesI got numerous phone calls from random numbers including this one. It may be inmates, but they are hired to work as telemarketers. They don't know you - they're just calling numbers on a list. So, don't think that some long-lost family member/friend is trying to get in contact with you. Just ignore it I guess. I don't know how to block the calls yet. If I figure it out, I'll post another comment.
