- corporal Bret Carter Buena Park P.D.This is a SCAM call. I called for a scared little lady who was contacted and threatened by them. They started calling me profanities and related my ancestry to me. 213-674-4949.....SCAM. Block the number or hang up. Do NOT give them money. The IRS does not threaten to come get you. The police do not do that either. Do not give them a credit card number or a bank account number. Hang up.

- Sylvia| 1 replyA computer generated "female" voice called my cell phone number today while I was at work and left a voice mail message. Sounds like "Officer Judy Smith of the Internal Revenue ServiceS" left me the same fraudulent message that I see many others have already received. When I called this SCAM number back, a guy answered, "United States Treasury". He wanted my first and last name, but instead I told him I needed proof this was a legitimate organization, and he immediately hung up!
- KARINCalled with an automated message..When you call back you get a foreigner's voice who starts to ask you personal questions. When you refuse to give him the info, he tells you that you are going to be arrested because there is an outstanding warrent for your arrest for not paying your taxes.
- Renee C.This happened to me last summer and I made the mistake of talking to the person. I was so upset and it was only after 5 minutes did I think it was a scam. Don't call and don't answer you phone. These people are evil!

- PollyI got this call today. Stated was from the IRS Department of the Treasury. Stated I was guilty of tax fraud for the year 2012 and 2013, I stated didn't get a letter. He said in his thick Indian accent a letter was sent. I asked what was the address. He couldn't give it to me. I asked why isn't my husband being called that we filed joint returns. Got a lame excuse that it was me trying to defraud the government. I asked how much we owed he said that it was too late had already called the feds and they would be there to get me and spend 15months in the prison. I kept asking how much I owed almost $5000. Funny thing the amount is wired difficulty than amt. over $5000. The IRS isn't a part of the Treasury dept. It is a separate entity. The IRS hounds you with letters and they are certified. IT IS A TOTAL SCAM. HANG UP DO NOT WASTE YOUR VALUABLE TIME LIKE I DID.
- Polly replies to SylviaThat is exactly what my message said.
- not a foolgot a call from them saying i had tax fraud and had to pay today or they would send police to my house and be arrested and spend up to 6 months in jail while the IRS reviews my account. i got the same female voice mail and when i called back i got some one asking my name and to verify my address. I complied with his request, but that is where i stopped. they said i had an audit done on my taxes and they found a mistake from 2010. i laughed and said then its the fault of the company that filed for me because i have a signed statement that it was certified and they were responsible for any mistakes. that and i know the IRS would not come after me with jail time for $3000 they would have just took it out of my taxes the following year. i hope by confirming my address and phone number they can not mess with anything else. time to keep a close eye on all my accounts. good luck catching these idiots. good luck everyone.
