yep I got this same call earlier this morning.

three calls this morning within two hours. what a pain. can't something be done?

This number called twice within two hours and left the same threatening, pre recorded message saying the IRS was taking us to court. This is a scam. Do not answer, call them, or fall for it.

Bogus caller NOT IRS...IRS does not work like this, bogus caller!

This is a IRS scam number.  They left 2 messages  today.

I got that 2 minutes ago and
I was nervous and so I hung up right away

Got a vm claiming this is my FINAL warning that if I do not call back legal action will be taken and I will be sued. I called back and finally someone answered, she barely spoke intellible English. She wanted me to verify my number, I asked what this was about and why would the IRS be calling me from California????? She mumbled somthing and just hung up. How do we get these idiots caught???? Clearly a scam,what about the poor folks that fall for it????? Who is thier advocate??? Does anyone know who we need to call to get this to stop before some poor soul falls victim to thier pseudo threats??

FAKE IRS call. Big Scam, don't answer or don't call back.

they called me...had me nervous...asked for my credit card # and threatened to take me to Federal court in Washington DC at my expense, would take my home, vehicle etc then offered to transfer me to another agent so the line would be secured to give my credit card info...had my stomach churning until I realized the other agent sure sounded like the first one...once he realized I wasn't giving up my # he said he would talk with someone that could work with me on a payment plan...he would call me back in 15mins...been an hour no call...I googled the #...wow...what a relief, and I still have my funds

Same thing, threatening IRS lawsuit.  Any way to stop these people.  It looks like the call is from a cell phone.
